Charles Maynard recuperating

Cabinet Secretary Felix Gregoire has said that Ambassador Charles Maynard is doing well.

The health of Maynard came into the spotlight when he collapsed at the Fort Young Hotel last week during a forum organised by the government to meet with visiting Dominicans in the diaspora.

Gregoire said Maynard is at home recuperating.

“He was stabilized at the Princess Margaret Hospital where he spent some time. He is now at home recuperating nicely. We are in touch with him; we have spoken to him and he sounds very strong. We are praying for him so that his recovery can be complete,” he said.

Meantime Gregoire said Charles Savarin is also recuperating well after his surgery.

So tell me…is Dr. Corbette, the Ambassador to Cuba (an original Labourite) who served 10 years as the Director of Carib Affairs and who is a qualified Vet from the Village of Atkinson, who is now fighting for his life in Cuba as a result of an accident…is he not worth mentioning as well as this Ambassador and the Senator/Minister who lost his voice – both Freedom party? Maguay sa!

Good to hear that he is doing well.
anyone can fall sick at anytime regardles
of our age.No one buys sickness. We all should remember we are not incontrol of our lives. But when someone falls sick and he is cold and clammy and sweating the first thingto think about is whether he is a diabetic. Then the next thing is to get him
some orange juice with sugar or any liquid with sugar before the person gets into a comma and he is unable to drink.Once the person is able to speak u immidately ask him his history. it could be a heart attack sugar could be low…if he is cold and sweating. if his skin is warm and he is a diabetic most likely his blood sugar is high
One can probablly save ones life if he/she
    collapes by good assessment skills.Remember
ABC…..Airway..Breathing/Cardiac…whin is heart.Seen many lifes saved by these basic skills….I am just saying

I am happy to know that Mr. Maynard is much better.
Mr. Charles Maynard I wish you all the best. Take your time to recuperate. Worry not. Get all the rest that you possibly could. You are a man of God who has strong faith and I know that God will see you through. I wish you well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I visualize that your wonderful wife, Joan, will eagerly assist to take good care of you.
God bless both of you. Love and peace.

Best wishes to Mr. Maynard for a speedy recovery. You have served Dominica well and unselfishly in many ways and over several decades. In advanced countries, the elders are respected and they play key leadership roles in their societies. Over the last decade in Dominica, the elders have somehow been pushed aside so that the youth can lead even before “they are the future.”

The error of this will only be seen sometime down the road.

Hopefully whatever wisdom you still want to impart can be passed on to your own family and close friends.

TO THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO REMAIN NEGATIVE, SELFISH, DUMB AND ILLITERATE AS WE ALL KNOW THAT YOU ALL ARE, JUST REMEMBER THAT WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. FOR THE SAME DIRTY SEED THAT YOU ALL GIVE TO OTHERS TO DIGEST, THE WORSE MAY COME YOUR WAY SOME DAY. REMEMBER THAT GOD IS TRUE TO US ALL INCLUDING MR MAYNARD,THE CABINET SECRETARY AND MR SAVERIN. SO STOP BEING A CRACKHEAD AND BE A HUMAN BEING FOR A CHANGE.

I didn’t know he collapsed? These people need to stop playing with God. People turn from your wicked ways and seek the Lord. Charles Maynard and Charles Saverin can not tell me they kissing Skeritt nonsense after serving our country in years gone by. Let us everyone of us be warned in Dominica. God is not a police. Do not sell your soul to the devil. Money can do nothing for the soul.

      @ WAITUKUBU

It appears that you were not properly taught and disciplined and have respect for others. You are such a stupid person. The stupid and inconsiderate statements that some people make.
What is the matter with you? You have a severe problem and need to have your head examined. Are you insane? You are one mentally sick person. Who are you, a mere mortal and a wretched sinner to make such a statement? Judgement is not far away for you as well. The young also get sick and die be it suddenly; also in an accident or through illness.
Fool, do you know what will happen to you in the future and at what age and when the end of your life will come?

Cabinet secretary i will hit the nail on the head, thought you would inform the nation that the government is seeking a replacement for this two gentleman who have made their contribution, even if some of us feel they could better advise the government on good governance, This country got lots of young qualified men and women who could serve us well and not have to depend on one set of persons who at their point in life can bring nothing new to the table. Cabinet secretary Dominica awaits your second announcement soon which will be the appointment of our young bright scholars to replace these two gentlemen the “CHARLESES”
