The Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities Incorporated (DAPD Inc.) holds an Educational Week of Activities from Monday, November 22 to Sunday, November 28. 2010.
The programme will be observed under the theme: “Accessibility: A Key to Persons with Disabilities Independence.
The objectives of the programme are:
*To highlight the challenges faced by persons with disabilities due to lack of access to the physical environment, services, facilities, and programmes.
*To educate the public on Article 9 and other related articles of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
* To increase the awareness of the public on the need to create an “all-inclusive” society.
The week’s programme will feature:
