Departure of Francis Joseph from ChildFund Dominica

Francis Joseph

ChildFund International informs of the departure of Mr. Francis Joseph as our National Director of ChildFund Caribbean.

We thank him for his long service as National Director during which period, ChildFund has supported multiple programs addressing the needs of deprived, vulnerable and excluded children and their families in Dominica and Saint Vincent.

ChildFund International reiterates its commitment to the children of the Caribbean. We are currently developing a three year strategy to better address the challenges confronted by deprived, vulnerable and excluded children and their families in the wider Caribbean. During this period we also intend to become a stronger advocate for children’s rights and to expand our resource-base. This new strategy will be made public in due course.

ChildFund has named Mr. Mario Lima as interim National Director. Mr. Lima is currently the Director of ChildFund Guatemala and brings a wealth of international experience within ChildFund and other organizations providing strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of child rights programs. We wish him success in this important assignment.

there is no smoke without fire. What goes around comes around. It is one thing to speak aloud and represent, but is another thing in relation to standards behind the scenes. Loups will surface from the craks and mouth will stay open. the only time u will not ask to leave is with prudent managent at ur own business……

@ wey papa and @ well sah!

You folks are so ridiculous and downright ignorant. Since when is the management of this institution the responsibility of the Government?

And what does the government have to do with him being laid-off, asked to resign or whatever the case may be.

Get your frigging facts straight before you belch out trash!

Every body is downsizing. Why must we be managed by someone from Guatamala who could not possibly be as informed of the Caribbean intricasies and intrigues of our islands? Anyway let’s see who they give the permanent position to. I wonder why Francis Joseph is leaving us? For better, I hope!

It is just being put nicely in the media. I heard through the grapevine that this man was asked by Childfund, to resign. He was gonna be fired but he was asked to resign so that he maintain a clean record.

i’d like to know why the children and family were refused the addresses of their sponsors,,, i don’t know how it is now,,, but i remember as a yout i use to go to the office and write a letter to my sponsors and i was never given their addresses etc,,, just hand the letter to the secretary and that was it,,,,

    • sa que gas
      May 5, 2011

you should have known that this is childfund’s policy where sponsors addresses are not given to
children. This is down to protect your child and family. Mr. joseph has no control over this…
