The spirit of excitement and joy was expressed on the faces of the many elderly at the Dominica Infirmary when DIGICEL partnered with Fine Foods Inc and Malcolm Stephens together brought them Christmas cheer.

Both the inmates and caretakers expressed their appreciation for receiving the contributions from DIGICEL and added that DIGICEL should continue to assist the institution especially now at a time when the world is facing an economic crisis.

The recipients of Special Christmas Gift Packs from DIGICEL were 102 years centenarian Phillomen St. Valle of Grandbay, Helen Matthew, Eslie Ishmael, Henry Toussaint, Elford Bruno, Verna Cuffy and Jno. Baptiste Paul.

“Thank you very much DIGICEL, may God richly bless you all” were comments made by Phillomen St. Valle upon receipt of the gift pack.

In addition to the special Christmas gift pack, the Dominica Infirmary received one (1) desktop handset plus a voucher to receive six hundred dollars ($600.00) credit over one year from DIGICEL, grocery items from Fine Foods Inc and two hundred dollars ($200.00) worth of frozen from Malcolm Stephens and Sons.

“At this time of year we have found it appropriate to reach out to the elderly and institutions such as these and to give back especially at a time when we know it would be most appreciated” said the Sales and Marketing Manager, Mrs. Nathalie Walsh. She further added that “Not only does DIGICEL- the Bigger Better Network – provide the best mobile services and products to its many subscribers, but as a corporate citizen extends its gratitude to the family and friends of its subscribers in the communities where they exist.

She further promised that DIGICEL will donate one (1) desktop computer to the said institution in the New Year.  (press release)
