Meanwhile the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said al Said, has sent a cable of congratulations to President Savarin on the occasion of the island’s Independence, according to The Times of Oman.
In his cable, he expressed his sincere congratulations along with best wishes to President Savarin and the people of Dominica.
well well well that Skerrit not easy yeah.
skrittttttttttttt… not easy en… when is morocco brothers
Cease your discrimination. We are the world and the children of the world. We must all learn to live in harmony, peace and unity without which we will never see God. Go and study the Holy Bible especially the New Testament.
Accept congratulations with thanks.
Discrimination is the enslavement of black people for 1500 years by Arabs even beore the Atlantic slave trade.
The ratio of men to women was 3:1 to mainly satisfy the demand for concubines by Muslim men. The men were castrated of which 90% did not survive the process, hence the lack of black people in the Arab world today considering its proximity to Africa.
Other tham Muammar Gadaffi (probably to go down in history as one of the greatest Arabs), no other has made any kind of attempt of apology or otherwise to the black people for this sin committed by them to our race.
Black people need to be aware that it is those who enslaved us who tend to be the first to want us to forget the past and move on like it never happened. How many empires were built on our ancestors broken backs and blood. It has happened more than once so
I wonder why they bothered, considering that Dominica withdrew its recognition of Western Sahara in 2010, presumably because it would interfere with a relationship with Morocco, which claims all of Western Sahara’s territory and doesn’t recognise its independence.
DOMINICANS it’s time we ask questions of the Government because it’s one story after another and the amazing thing, we are learning all what’s going on with Dominica from outside and in the World Media , what are we doing why are we so silent Dominica belong to all of us
There is a time and place for everything. There is a time to be silent for peace sake. Prayers are effective. They move mountains.
The world belongs to every member of humanity, be it temporary. They simply did not forget Dominica. In the spirit of friendship, respect and diplomacy, they chose to send a congratulatory message. It should be acknowledged with gratitude.
While I respect your positivity, I think that Stanley’s explanation that they just forgot to remove us from a list seems much more likely.
And nothing from Morocco? lets wait and see.
These may just be it the data base of the country’s foreign missions and automatic congratulatory messages are sent. This is what happens most times- just diplomatic protocol.
But I am not sure about the message from the Polisario Front when Skerrit is in bed with Morocco. This one may have just slipped without he clerk checking it.
If your remember it was Rosie Douglas who supported them and Skerrit turned his back on them for a few pennies and a free trip to Morocco. They probably haven’t updated their data base system.
