“I am here to make my Dominican people proud and the Universal Martial Arts Academy and also to represent you all very well,” he told Dominica News Online (DNO) during an interview.

He said it is an “honour and pleasure” to learn about the Chinese culture and promised to bring back the information to the Dominican people.

He revealed that a visit to the Shaolin Temple will be part of the itinerary of participants along with their official training in Shaolin Boxing.

Robin thanked the government of Dominica, in particular the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, for giving him the opportunity to represent Dominica.

“It’s a beautiful experience,” he said.

The course is being held from May 4th to October 30th, 2016.

Sensei Robin uses karate and his personal experiences in life to help motivate and influence young persons in particular to walk the straight and narrow. If I know Sensei Robin well, he will not be influenced by petty thinking and will stand for what he believes. If he doesn’t he will be forgetting the teachings of his Grand Mother and that I know he is true to.

Mr. Dodds you sound like a hater. I am disappointed in your comment.

When he gets back he will become Skerrit number one watchdog!

We did not know that one had to go to a university to learn martial arts; something taught on most side streets. I do not even see why something as that crap should be considered news.

If I had a business, and some sent a Resume to me, and part of their background was martial arts, I would respond, and suggest they look for a bouncer’s job in a rum shop; to wrestle with unruly inebriated men.

I wonder how many people he will kill with his skills?

Francisco, I’m almost 100% sure that you’re one of the most negative person on the face of the earth. After reading your comment I had to go take a shower to clean off all that dirt your just spilled all over the place. What have you ever represented your country in? I suggest that you just shut up and please re-evaluate yourself for the rest of the year. Most of your comments on here are generally negative and just plain senseless.

Indeed I am negatieve, and I do not care eh!

        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Big deal what is so special in someone learning martial arts, never mind talking about going to a university to learn the art.

In Los Angeles, on just about every few blocks you see signs over all little hole in a wall where karate, and Martial Arts are taught to both children and adults. There is nothing special about that, good as they come there is always someone much better!

If I know a man is skilled in martial arts, and he confronts me, I would not try to match him/her if I do not have the same skills, so I would simply get another type of weapon, (and I doh saying what), and stay my distance and let the Kong Fu king have it oui!

What? you sometimes say smart things…Today is not one of them.

Martial arts is an art. it’s not a thing to “kill people”. if someone sends you their resume with martial arts it means they have discipline as also a side hobby they are dedicated to. So if someone applies to your place as an accountant, and they fish, you going to say “Go and fish”.
      Don’t be stupid.

        May 10, 2016

You say I am stupid, however, as far as I see you do not even know what Martial Arts entails, I can tell you because I am familiar with the art, and know it is used to kill!

the following should prove to you between you, and me who is the fool, or stupid!

Traditionally, martial arts is identified as fighting arts that originated in Asia. However, as the understanding of martial arts has expanded, combative arts created outside of Asia began to be labeled as martial arts.

Martial arts techniques come in many shapes and sizes. There are empty-hand techniques during which the practitioner does not have a weapon. Theses generally involve strikes, kicks and grappling techniques. There are techniques for various weapons—knife, stick, blunt and other edged weapons. There are also disarming and self-defense techniques during which the practitioner is specifically trying to overcome an aggressor.

So here you have it, it is a killers’ game, and I learn some of it when I lived in…

So, here you have it; it is a killers’ game, and I learn some of it when I lived in England, put that in your pipe and smoke it! If I ever had to use the art, I would much prefer to take the aggressor out cold, probably by execution of a paralytic blow, paralyzing my opponent. You all like to run-of you mouth on people when you do not even know who you are dealing with, and who you are talking about.

If I met someone in the streets bleeding profusely, I know ever one of the place to apply pressure to stop the bleeding instantly, okay, it the same if I have to defend myself I know exactly where to strike with my fist, and put you to sleep forever:

        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Damn you are so ignorant and foolish. I never expected that from someone who usually make so much sense. It is clearly a sign of jealousy. Knowing that most Dodds come from the same community area as Mr. Robin I am almost certain you are just jealous and probably want to see the man down and out. Stop that nonsense and try to see the good you fool.

        May 10, 2016

Guy shut up, and I wish I could say it to you in a profane way?

Jealous of what something that I learnt myself when I lived in England when I was much younger? Every little nonsense in Dominica, is wonderful to you all, its exciting.

Tell him to apply for a job somewhere in the world to fight Martial Arts lets see how many people will employ him, unless it to be a body-guard!

Skilled in martial arts does not require even elementary education, it something that can be learned by instruction, someone showing another the technique, and how to execute it; any idiot can learn self-defense that’s all it is!

And anybody who believe it is more than that are much more stupid than I am: And in patios more damn “sot” than I am. I do not get excited over nothing, that is nothing!

When one enters competition for entertainment if you are good you may win a trophy but that just about, it is not a professional skill, so I do not see why I should be jealous of some crap like that!…
