Dominican students at UWI send Independence greetings

Happy 33rd Independence Dominica coming from the Dominica Student Association at Cave Hill, University of the West Indies.

We celebrate with you our fellow Dominicans at our annual flag raising ceremony on campus with fellow Dominicans who reside in Barbados. Following the flag raising ceremony we held a breakfast, all local cuisine, as we socialized with one another.

Our rich culture is one that cannot be compared with other Caribbean islands and at this time we extremely proud to be Dominican.

Holding hands in unity as we grow stronger as a people, wiser as a nation and better country for our youth. Let us continue to set an example for our younger generation and their appreciation of the culture.

God bless Dominica and may we continue to prosper.

Dominica Students Associations at Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.

Kalinagoes representing strong!!!! Thank you Sir Hilary Beckles… They Kalinagoes were wearing their national dress in larger proportions than the other Dominicans…. Though it was a tradition forced upon them.. they are proudly saying “we are proud to be Dominicans”… I wonder when will the government match the initiative taken by Sir Beckles? The first nations people definitely need more than Just the government political attention at times of election..

Must you be so negative? At least they got together to remove a picture and to wish their country well.
What have you said or contributed to this 33 years or what thankfulness have u given to the Lord of all Lords for his kindness and mercy to us?

Di anyone ask you whether the Association was dead or Alive? There is a time for everything under the sun and naturally a time to be born, a time to be alive and a time to passed on.

Stop the negative talk, you and all the others. U N I T Y and L O V E. Forward we go with our Creator at our side. Lift up yourselves from the muck!
