Dream setting at Dominica’s Test debut

Cloud-covered Morne Trois Pitons

Roseau, Dominica: As the propeller plane, carrying not more than 40 passengers, descends down upon the island of Dominica, you are almost expecting a few pterodactyls (the feathered dinosaurs) to fly past and probably even land alongside you.

It is the closest you can get to experience a scene straight out of Jurassic Park. Lush mountainous rainforests surround the tiny island, renowned for its rivers and magical waterfalls on all sides, while also housing a variety of rare animal species. Only a few small country houses perched erratically on the hills provide any proof of human inhabitancy.

Everyone will find Waitukubuli naturally beautiful and that is through no effort of ours, the creator made it that way.But as for landing by air it’s scary to add to the already tidious journey to Roseau on the rugged winding road, we need a proper landing site.

The person who wrote the article said it as it looked to him. The little houses seen on the hill when landing from the sea looks disgusting. Can the government PLEASE relocate the occupants. Its a real turn off for a first time visitor.

This article should be taken down. This doesn’t tell the story of the true Dominica.

The two hour drive is because they chose to drive the people tru Portsmouth and along the west coast rather than through the north east. Don’t know why?

You DNO people must get your facts right. pterodactyls, based on all the photos and books I have read cause I wasn’t there, didn’t have feathers. I’m annoyed and have stopped visiting this site often because of your ever increasing inaccuracies. Tell your boss to stop pressuring the writers so that the quality of the articles will improve. Thanks.

ADMIN: Don’t you realize the story is not a DNO original? At the top it said the story was taken from indiaexpress.com. Plus we provide the link to the original story at the bottom. SMH
