@ voice of reason……….It is reasonable to expect that you will not and cannot agree to all what you read on DNO or elsewhere, neither will every one agree with you, but every one is entitled to their opinion, and may express it how ever they feel, if it does not break any laws. THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM STUPID OR IGNORANT
What is shameful is the way people like you like to insult others because you do not agree with their views. Any reasonable person will appreciate freedom of expression ,and entitlement to ones opinion.

The OMD should explore and study the area in question to determine if the volcanic activity created any island in the area like bird island, or nylon pool in Tobago. Or the volcanic islands off the coast of Iceland and Hawaii. Some of these islands are submerged.

In Noah’s day they all made fun of him. Typical human beings. Don’t have no love or care for the creator. We too busy doing our own thing and don’t want to stop and ask ourselves, who put us here and what are we living for? The whole world is in crisis, why? because we are very selfish human beings and ungrateful. Our time must come to live this world, take it or leave it.

Bible to discuss Earthquake in 2014? really? anyways let me give a real knowledge based explanation to those who can take leave of absence from religious dogma and understand the earth has it’s own way of taking care of itself.

The many earthquakes we are feeling around the region, means simply that a VOLCANIC eruption is imminent. It’s natural for the plates to move and vibrations be felt, but the frequency and intensity of these earthquakes means there’s deeper rumbling and upheaval in motion at the very core of the earth. Iceland is already taking precautionary flight and other forms of travel measures, because they have been having the same experience like we do in the region. Because we are a broken chain of islands of the same volcanic origin, it may trigger dormant volcanoes once forced extinct to act, or further excite the ones which are active. When, Where, Which island who knows?

It amazes me that in this day and age (2014 wii) that some people still have this trend of thought towards the natural ground (plates) moving phenomenon called earthquakes. Something that has been going on on this planet called Earth for over 4 billion years. SMH

I cannot believe in this day and age (2014) with so many earthquakes and worldwide that you will not consider it as such. What type of educated person are you? You are the only one in the world who thinks in this manner. Something must be wrong with you – your brains.
When the earth opens up under you and whatever else will occur then, if you remain alive and unharmed, you will not consider it otherwise but an earthquake.

What are you all talking about every day in some part of the world there is an Earthquake. The bible said in the last days there will be earthquake in diverse places, so what`s the big talk. All we have to do is be ready for no one knows the day nor the hour. God is in control and I give Him praise .

I love Dominica and cannot afford to see it get destroyed by earthquake or anything. However, with all the evils and wrong doings those that suppose to lead us are involved in, we MUST expect to get much shakings and warnings from the one above because alas! In the last 14 years our leaders have become very corrupt and they have used riches they have gathered through corrupt means to corrupt our so called spiritual leaders, our police and justice system, men and women that were once upon a time loving, caring, and truthful and just about every one and everything. So expect more shakings and if we fail to take heed, next time we will feel.

What’s wrong with you superstitious nuts? Dominica is not the only country with corruption, I guess the whole world should erupt into massive earthquakes according to your sort of thinking

The truth most times will hurt and I have no doubt it is hurting most of you that read the above blog. Why should we not have warnings from above when we have a man like Skerrit on pulpit talking his nonsense and no one stops him? How does the one above feel to see Bishop Skerrit, on a Sunday morning, preaching on church platform and trying to use the holy bible to preach his nonsense? After all, if we are looking for countries that do not have religious freedom, China would no doubt head that list. Yet, Skerrit’s number one friend is China and I would not doubt Dominica might be sold to China. The man going on pulpit and telling us to protect religious freedom? God will judge us if we think God is a cricket game that we can bat for. Keep on batting sir! Keep using the church platform as your wicket and priests and pastors as team mates.

@ BISHOP SKERRIT: Eh beh Skerrit powerful papa to even cause Earthquake warning from “the one above” for his party wrong doings for the past 14 years. So how do you explain the same phenomena is the USVI, St Marten et al? Something is wrong with you, if you truly believe that hogwash.

Based on your comments I can assume that Dominica is less corrupt than we were between 95 and 99 when we had constantly had earthquakes and threats of volcanic activity so much so we even had evacuation plans in place. Please stop taking natural events and turning them political. We just waste time on politics instead of working to develop the country. With a story like this why don’t we discuss whether we are prepared for such occur ancestors because they will happen. Are our buildings properly built? What happens is there is a major earth quake. Do we have contingencies in place. Please stop wasting time on politics and let’s have a positive abs uplifting discussion.

Dominicans are busy going through their merry life and do not bother about a thing.
This type of attitude frightens and is ideal for the worst, God forbid. Sadly, if something happens both the good and the bad will suffer.

No need to be frightened. If you good and with God then why worry, you will ascend to heaven and the bad to hell. Isn’t our goal in life to gain eternal salvation. Let Dominica shake. We are in and earthquake zone and one day the big one will hit. Just be ready at all times for the pearly gates and milk and honey.
