Ex- Nigerian petroleum minister, Alison-Madueke, denies forfeiting $153.3 million, other allegations

Nigeria’s immediate past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, has denied several allegations of corruption levelled against her, including the forfeiture of an alleged 153 million US Dollars, the possession of a mansion allegedly worth 18 million US Dollars and her alleged involvement in the Malabu oil deal scam, among others.

The former minister, in a rebuttal to several allegations levelled against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), said she had chosen to be silent “and not to respond to inaccurate press reporting” but that given the level of deliberate inaccuracies, she was forced to respond.

She noted that she had been disturbed by recent media reports that she forfeited the sum of $153.3m purportedly stolen from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), to the Federal Government, noting that she could not forfeit what was not hers.

Since 2013 UK was investigating her and Skerro gave her diplomatic passport in 2015 and according to him, she was of good character? https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=latest+on+Allison+Madueke&&view=detail&mid=D922FCA0D43EE3D874BED922FCA0D43EE3D874BE&&FORM=VDRVRV

Garcon, honestly, do you trust Skerrit or anything he says? He said he was establishing a high commission in Malaysia and that we had established diplomatic relations with that country since the beginning of 2015. One big lie my boy, that never happen. This is just example of many.

“I wish to state that I cannot forfeit what was never mine…..”

No one ever said it was yours. All the investigating agencies have always said it had belonged to the people of Nigeria.

I am waiting for her to play the “race card” or even the “I am a woman card”. There are many, many billionaires in Nigeria and around Africa…why would these agencies be investigating and confiscating proceeds with connections to this particular one?

#NoSmokeWithoutFire and where this woman is concerned, the have been flames for years.

From the day Skerrit’s friend, NG Lap Seng was arrested in August 2015 to June 2017, before the case, Lap seng kept saying how he was innocent and tried hard to get the case to call earlier because according to their was no truth to what he was accused of and everything was political. But come July 2017 he was convicted for everything he was charged for!

I was not as lucky as Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit to have know a high profile person like Allison Madueke and therefore I will wait till her case is called. However, our ambassador is in very deep water all over the world, and if she escapes Nigeria she might not escape the UK and she definitely will not escape the US. By the way, where is Pm Skerrit? Is he visiting his rich friend and diplomat Allison Madueke in the UK? If not, Could he be visiting his rich friend Aliereza Monfared in Iran so they could strategize the defence? If not, could it be that he is in NY visiting his other rich boy, NG Lap Seng?

DNO stop beating down an old story. Why cant you guys find new material which by the way is occurring in the world every day.
I am not sure if you have realized that North Korea and the United States are in a little feud. Donald Trump support white supremacy . There is a funeral for 5 young promising men in Dominica who lost their lives. St. Lucia is struggling to keep the death toll down from all that violence that have been plaguing their country. Venezuela is destabilizing, among many other current development. I am just saying that if I can find the stories that are occurring in real time, so can you.
I am sure the people of Dominica would like to read uplifting stories which are factual, well written and with no bias.
Do something positive and stop helping to tear down the country by regurgitating the same news with no new update.
    Be constructive and fair.

      public truth meter

Well at least in this report she is the ex-minister of Nigeria and not the former Dominican Diplomat in a previous report on DNO so that is constructive.
I believe she was also the Head of OPEC at some time so she seemed able to have fooled not only Mr. Skerrit but major organisations and the whole country of Nigeria into believing that she was a good citizen.

I am saying this to say!……………….. I guess lots of people on this site have another country to live in when the destruction dust has settled!

We know why. Until this case is over and what will result from it, DNO will continue to rub it in and post it for the interest of the opposition, supporters and their criticisms. Reason being it is said she had a Dominican passport.
Remember the high rise UK building which caught fire and crashed a few months ago? Approximately 75 or more of the tenants died. The body of some probably were not recovered. I heard a D/can couple resided there. They perished. DNO did not post that information.
This was big news and a breaking one. I thought it would have been posted also considering many D/cans reside in the UK.

  9. Dr. Madueke is NOT Guilty
    August 16, 2017

Her Excellency Alison-Madueke is a God-fearing and distinguished woman. The level of malignment against her is really quite disturbing – see http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/06/14/alison-madueke-i-leave-those-maligning-me-to-god/. In the end, she will prevail and we as Dominicans must stand behind our former diplomat who did much to help us.

“…our former diplomat who did much to help us” I am not aware of anything this lady did to help us. I could be mistaken, of course but there is nothing I can find in the public arena that tells me otherwise. So I would invite you to be specific and tell us exactly when, where, how and whom of our Dominican citizens she did so much to help. Your statement without any such facts is meaningless I’m afraid, no more than a general coat of whitewash to cover up blemishes.

Like she was ever going to admit it was hers….

Given the various authorities investigating her, I have no reason to believe she is “without sin” or is being plagued by “personal vendettas”.

Don’t worry dear Lady, with powerful friends like Roosevelt Skerrit no laws will be used against you. He will ride to your rescue once more….for a suitable recompense, just to cover his legitimate expenses of course, you’unnerstan?
