Former Miss Venezuela Eva Ekvall, whose struggle with breast cancer was closely followed by Venezuelans, has died at age 28.
Her family said Ekvall died Saturday at a hospital in Houston.
Ekvall was crowned Miss Venezuela at age 17 in 2000, and the following year she was third runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico. She went on to work as a model, actress and television news anchor.
The following comment is in response to Abu Sulayman who asked here to know what the difference between Jehovah and Jesus is. I take it that the need to receive a correct answer to this important question must be heavy in his mind.
The Supreme LORD JEHOVAH GOD is the TRUE original God from whom all life and strength originates. See Isaiah 26:4 and John 17:3.
Lord Jesus is LORD JEHOVAH’S Sonly Firstborn Creation. Jesus is distinct from and above all other creation because He is the junior and the image of God who, under the Father’s instruction, made all other life after his own was brought forth. Also, this Junior God is authorized to act FOR and in the place of God at this time – a time we are not fit for Him to directly deal with. See John 1:1-3, Genesis 1:26 and Hebrews 1:1-3.
Lord Jesus refers to himself as the SUPREME LORD’S first brought forth possession and the one there WITH GOD for the making of both heaven and earth. See Proverbs 8:22-31.
Thus, in Bibles such as the King James Version, you know that JEHOVAH is being referred to when you read the word “LORD” spelled in all capital letters in contrast to their usage of the word “Lord” with just a capital L referring to Jesus. See Psalm 110:1.
I hope I’ve been of some help at making your understanding of this matter clear. And I’m willing to be of further help in getting you to KNOW what you need to know in order to receive eternal life in a coming New World that will have no rebels against JEHOVAH and Jesus at all in it. See John 17:3 and Psalm 37:29.
Mr VenezuelanPresident Juice Chavez, whose struggle with cancer making countless trips to hospital in Cuba was closely followed by Venezuelans, has died at age 58.
RIP
Don’t know her or even about her but for anyone to die at 28 through no fault of their own (especially through cancer), is a sad thing IMO. May she rest in peace till the day we are all judged and accepted into the kingdom of heaven
LETS HOPE SHE ACCEPTED CHRIST BEFORE SHE DIED.
That will be a serious problem if she accepts Christ (to worship him).
Let’s suppose she had not. What will become of her? Heaven hell or limbo? lol Tickle me with your religious crap. Get a life.
what does sat have to do with the price of tea in China?
So Sad…but GOD has planned for everyone.
This is just another reminder to tell us to really LOVE others as the Lord advised us. My Peoples I LOVE YOU! I ask for your forgiveness if I have ever hurt you in any way.

DNO I miss a lot of your news when I do not access your Website. These past few days I have been extremely too busy in preparation for Christmas and other matters.
I am saddened to read of the passing of Miss Venezuela and extend my deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
I hope she did not suffer too much. She had recently achieved fame and with high hope, more to come if only she had survived. She appeared to be a brave person who accepted her illness and resigned herself to it and the outcome. Her allotted time came for her to vacate this world at age 28.
From what I read about her she has left a legacy of advice and strength, not only to those who knew her but to every one who reads about her.
Long life, health and strength was promised to no one.
There is a saying, “God protects us from something worst than death.” I firmly believe that this is what He, our Loving Father, did for her, His child. He knows our future and what may happen to us then. She had time to make amends for her frailty. This should be consoling to her loved ones.
May her soul rest in God’s peace. Amen!
ADMIN: Welcome back!!
Thank You Admin! You are so encouraging! You made my evening after a hectic and strenuous day. I do try to access your Website whenever I can and as often.
I inform my family and friends about your Website; even non-Dominicans. We discuss, at least, some of what is stated on the Website. They make for good conversional pieces. A few of my friends in Toronto also access your Website.
I do thank you for providing us with up-to-date current events. It has helped me to keep closer, in heart and spirit to my beautiful country, Dominica. As someone once told me, my body left Dominica but my heart did not leave it. This person is not even a Dominican but originally from Barbados.
Wherever we reside, we must promote our country. If we love our country we cannot help it and we are concerned about what is occurring in it.
To all at DNO a Blessed Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Successful New Year.
God bless every one of you and your family.
Gone too soon. It is a sad loss. May she RIP. The recommended age for a mammogram begins at 40 but yet she was diagnosed at an advance stage of cancer at 28 because of her family history (her paternal grandmother died from breast cancer at the age of 39).
RIP

What Money Can and Cannot Buy
A bed but not rest.
A house but not a home.
Luxuries but not contentment.
Medicine but not health.
Amusement but not happiness.
Food but not appetite.
A grave…but not Heaven.
We pray that God saved this young lady. May her soul rest in peace.
wow, 28 years old…
so sad
Our young girls, take note! Do not think you are too young to die. Death can come at anytime. Put Allah first and foremost in your lives. Leave off materialism and polytheism.
@ Abu Sulayman
…And young boys too including yourself. Think of yourself too. You are not exempt; no one is exempt.
When I was a child I read the following poem in a prayer book. In recent years I saw it in a small book which is entitled “Admit One. My Ticket to Heaven.”
Life is short and death is sure
The hour of death remains obscure
A soul you have the only one
If that be lost all hope is gone
Waste not time while time shall last
For after death ’tis ever past.
All seeing God your judge will be
And Heaven or Hell your destiny.
All earthly things will pass away
Eternity …alone will stay.
Adults and children die all the time. Plane crashes, vehicular accidents, etc. Everyone will get a turn someday, sooner or later. Millions or rather billions have predeceased us. We are given an allotted time. When that time is up, it is up. God calls all for their eternal judgment.
What is the difference between Jehovah and Jesus?
