Goat pageant in La Plaine

A goat pageant was one of the many activities that formed part of the first ever goat festival held in La Plaine on Saturday.

The aim of the festival was to highlight the work of goat-rearing farmers in the area.

Other activities included Lapo Kabwit drumming displays from the two major Lapo Kabwit groups in the community, a goat race and musical performances.

DNO was able to obtain some photos from the goat pageant.

    There’s the Wesminister Dog Show. Why not the La Plaine Goat Pageant? I have mixed feelings about this. Good meat, do not hurt them, Have fun.

    Tell me..what ever happen to the Laplaine reunion? all the people on Face Book saying I IN THAT….did it take place at all? or was that goat pageant the main event? all I see now is enfant l’cole sue..nothing more….our reunion was fantabulious….

    Dominicans are funny people,everything is a whoopla for them. A little fun and entertainment. No cruelty to animals here folks. The same set that crying foul on a little goat PAGEANT are the same set blocking their colons with meat.
