They are giving all Salisbury people a bad name. This is civil disobedience. Are there no better ways of approaching this situation? Does it always have to be a protest? These people are looking for trouble then they blame the government. They are disobedient and rebellious. Keep up the unrest and see what will happen to you.
There is, without a doubt, this protest is politically motivated. The police have good reasons to arrest them and book them for conducting an illegal protest. The Salisbury minister should also be arrested for causing this.

i do believe in protest but not riot and lawlessness, motivated by political hetch men doing the work behind the scenes in other to get political points..its nothing about road condition, just a party and a few who are disgruntle at the election results.they will do anything to get in power. may parla this time..i am in agreement with the police 100%, arrest all those who think lawlessness is the answer..not one sentence from the opposition leader advising his people to stop the madness, but in his words , he is in agreement with them and making it look like is government rioting..well linton the best thing to do is join them if you have balls and dont sit in air condition having press conference

People of Salisbury, I hear your cries. You needed attention a few weeks ago to the plight you were facing and you took steps to get that attention. Though you may have gone a bit too far in your quest to demonstrate, I still think that the government could have prevented today’s incidents by not using that high handed approached of making arrests. They could have worked it out through the Parl Rep and issue stern warnings that it would not be tolerated in the future. It would not have demonstrated weakness on the part of the government but more of a compromise. Come on Mr. prime Minister, cut your people some slack. Which great leader did not demonstrate for a cause and even broke laws in so doing?
Embrace your people and work to alleviate your suffering regardless of which party they voted for in the last several elections.

It’s shamefulll despectable and plain out outrageous at the behavior and action of the Salisbury people and their pal rep. Your motives are politically motivated. I am a strong supporter, but I definitely deviate to such childish behavior. You are bringing down the integrity of the party.

the shame on you! if the ministers had got off their high horse at the first protest then the events of today would not be taking place so keep your mouth shut!

We witness, just a few short years ago the tyrants, and communists dictators of communists China, used Tanks, and its military to railroad, and dispersed protesting people on Thiamine Square in China.

Friends of Skerrit; the communists dictators must have schooled Skerrit, and his army in the art of using Earth-movers to dispersed protestors fighting for their legitimate rights! I will say it again the only resolve is a civil war.

Patrick John thought he was invincible, Skerrit maintains that same pompous attitude, and mentality. It is time somebody teach that mountain chicken (crapoo) boy a lesson, we need a modern day Charles Savarin like Skerrit’s illustrious president who commanded a civil war for forty days, and forty nights, in 1979, until he toppled the John government.

At the end of the war, Charles Savarin, and his colleagues arranged for the incarceration of John, this is the time to return the same compliments to Roosevelt Skerrit!

    I yearn for that day!

The tactic is called cut them off…..supplies, utilities, food, whatever…..until they surrender or give up. The purpose of the govt.(bankers) is to suppress dissention and unrest. This is only the beginning. Get prepared DA’cans.

He gave them properly paved roads. He gave them stadium where an international test cricket was just staged. He gave them presidential palace. He gave them red clinic etc etc. yet they are protesting. So what is going on?
From the looks of it , it appears that the Skerrit magic is losing its lustre. Or expressed more meaningfully, the compact that Skerrit believed he made with the Dominican people, i.e, that he would lavish money on them, make life better for them and in return they would look away from the corruption they all know he is engaged in, this compact appears to be falling apart.
The people want more: Better farm access roads, less corruption and equal opportunity for all.
Since Skerrit is incapable of delivering on the newest demands it appears that the country is headed for a showdown and what we saw in Salisbury this morning may just be a rehearsal .

      June 11, 2015

What more do they want? You state, less corruption. Are you aware when, where and how any corruption took place and recently?
What showdown? There are a set of unruly people coerced by UWP, the minister for Salisbury and the UWP Leader. They are at the top of this.
