IN PICTURES: Toronto gets a “Taste of Dominica”

On July 15 an event was held in Toronto, Canada that showcased Dominica’s art, culture and food.

The event was hosted by the Dominica Arts and Culture Expose (DACE) based in Toronto.

It also served as a platform to promote Dominica as a Tourism destination.

The theme of the event was “Taste of Dominica.”

    Absolutely beautiful, well done Nadia proud of you.
    Why was this not advertise in the 24hr or Metro paper or the Vibe 105.5 or G98 radio station, every other Island have their events advertise on these platform. Even the community newspaper, it’s free to advertise these events. More representation is needed.

      @Zandoli
      Tell them, they are too busy pointing fingers at others for their shortcomings. When you have one …. spreading hate and division on Facebook instead of engaging the free press and social media to raise the awareness of the event, it is difficult to expect a different outcome.

      Same old crabs in a barrel mentality.

    Thank you for taking the pics Gary! I had an amazing time hosting the event and representing Dominica in Toronto. Excellent idea by DACE. Looking forward to next year’s event which will be even bigger! Taste of Dominica – HUGE SUCCESS!

    WE don’t have culture because we don’t have a national dish . It used to be the moumtain chicken but let’s be honest, when last has anyone seen a crapoau in the wild in Dominica let alone on the diner table? This place called Dominica is now only a fairy tall.

    Was a beautiful day but next time we need to advertise this more. It was good to see Dominica culture on display openly.
