Jamaica is to provide US$5-million in support to the Government of Venezuela.
Of the sum, US$4-million will be provided through the Petro-Caribe Development Fund and US$1-million through Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology.
“This decision is taken primarily to give support in the form of medicine, food and fertiliser,” said Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Ruel Reid.
He was speaking at a post-Cabinet press briefing held at Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday.
We can send Venezuela chicken from the abatoir and coffee from the coffee plant
You too rude RESPECT.
Thanks Jamaica.
Now you people believe Venezuelans need food?!
Dominica, what is your contribution?
I guess Lintons proposal was not dumb as some people made it out to be
Boy I still vex with that venezuelan Ambassador… Them man doh tired lie? Talking about all is well…
Very well done Jamaica. Will the resident Venezuelan Ambassador in Dca tell us if the donation will be accepted by his country or will it be given back to poor people in Jamaica? Dominica should follow suit and do likewise to aid our brothers and sisters in Venezuela who were there for us when we needed them. Remember Simon Bolivar Housing Scheme? This shows that Venezuela was already helping when the Punjabee Duckt-her from Enbar was still in diapers.
Always Assertive!
