The sea conditions at the Roseau Ferry Terminal observed within the last hour are not favorable for docking by any vessel.
L’Express des Iles had planned to resume operations tomorrow, Thursday September 7, 2017 from St. Lucia/Martinique/Dominica/Guadeloupe with an amended schedule however, due to the condition of the sea at the Roseau Ferry Terminal this may not be possible.
At 0830 hrs and 1200 hrs today, assessments were done and it was determined on both assessments that the sea swells are very high and not good for berthing.
A further assessment will be done at 1600 hrs at the Roseau Ferry Terminal and the Woodbridge Bay Port. Should the conditions be the same at that time, Head Office will be notified and a decision will be taken.
Persons are asked to stay tuned to the Radio, TV and Social Media for further updates.
Do not be in a hurry to travel. Wait until the sea calms and the waves subside. As they say, until the coast is clear. Better to be safe than sorry.
