I will say this speech is free ,everybody has the right to voice themself….. as an employee in no matter what field of work your in… But nobody has the right to invade your personal space and think it’s ok…..
that will only encourage the public to feel it’s OK am frustrated today let me attack an employee as I will alwaysberight…. next one will say walk away from the situation and can also be deemed rude behavior . . Before you crucify the agent we are ALL human beings and will defend our persons from being physically harmed……This is no turned the other cheek…

With the very poor training Liat workers receive and the general poor attitude that I have witnessed when I have had the misfortune to travel with Liat, (when I could not fly with a decent Airline) I am not surprised at the News that a Liat staff member assaulted a customer. Liat as an Airline should be closed, the subsidy from Caribbean Countries are a waste of tax payers money. The subsidy keeps a uneconomic Airline in business, the demise of Liat would allow another airline to enter the market offering quality of travel

Sorry On Time, but having worked with the general public for more than 40 years under no circumstances is this behaviour excusable from an employee. Provoked or not, under no circumstances do staff attack customers. The lady in question is clearly not cut out to work with the general public, if she cannot control her temper. And therefor should not be doing this kind of work. And that is all.

I once witnessed a customer smashed a computer keyboard at Melville Hall Airport behind an agent on the counter. Sometimes customers need to know that they are not always right. Needless to say that the guy was arrested and appeared in-front of a Magistrate in Portsmouth. He pled guilty, paid a small fine and was banned from flying on any American Airline flights. He was just lucky the American Eagle agent husband did not meet him before the police did.

Whether provoked or not should not result in an altercation. Cool heads must prevail ! The customer is always right !

No lie, the people in Tortola are extremely rude and act like you are nothing in their land. To them, you are not a foreigner, you are a NON-BELONGER. in other words you don’t belong there. That should give you an idea of their mentality. It is seen from the moment you arrive. especially if you meet that lady who is head of security at the airport. So i am not surprised to hear this happening in Tortola. Also, if they are a British territory, why do they act like they are police for American territories.

And what makes you believe this comment came from a Dominican, since you as a non-Dominican also read and have commented on the article?

well this is the right course of action. HOWEVER, upon completion of the investigation, if the liat employee is found to be in the wrong, he/she should be terminated.

what about being professional at all times. I am provoked at work all the time by the criminals I work with. Sex offenders, murderers, etc. However I do need to remain professional and provide proper service as much I do not like them.

On Time. So even if the employee was provoked, are u saying is that reason for the employee to beat up the costumer. I wonder if u were the customer that was attacked, would u be singing the same tune?

Oh yeah! Who in their right mind will sit and collect a blow just for the sake of “the customer always being right?” Not I!
