Needy get food hampers for Christmas

Volunteers of the Goodwill Branch of the Dominica Red Cross distributed Christmas food hampers to needy persons in various communities as part of their annual Christmas hamper distribution.

Needy persons from the communities of Pointe Mitchel, Wotten Waven, Dublanc, Colihaut, Coulibistrie, Morne Rachette, St. Joseph, Layou, Morne Jaune, Campbell, Marigot and Goodwill were treated to food hampers and other supplies by members of the branch.

This is a gratifying activity for the volunteers in spreading the spirit of Christmas to needy persons and to see the joy and appreciation on the faces of the recipients.

Special mention must be made of Lindo Mart, Greens Wholesale, Issa Trading, Springfield Trading, NAGICO, REACH, staff of the Ministry of Health and Prime Minister’s Office and the volunteers who made this all possible.

Merry Christmas to all.
