Newly appointed Attorney General Levi Peters took his oath of office in parliament Monday morning.
Peters replaced Francine Baron-Royer who did not renew her contract.
Parliamentarians, including the Speaker of the House of Assembly Alix Boyd- Knights and Minister for Tourism and Legal Affairs Ian Douglas, welcomed and congratulated Peters.
The attorney general, in an address, told the gathering that his job was accompanied by great challenges but also opportunities.
Congratulations Mr Peter and ignore the negative spirits that are floating about as the aura that is received by us from the universe is what the universe will give us back so there goes……….
From what I know about you when you moved back to Dominica with your parents from England, both your late parents did an excellent job of wait for it, bringing you up as opposed dragging you up and I know they must be both sitting on either of your shoulders guiding you through this process.
It is good that you are not one of those to participate in negative, idle gossip so at least you won’t spend valuable time responding and listening to with making that are inaccurate, as there are more important laws and legislations that need to be brought forward and passed in parliament, so a very rocky road a head of you but with your tenacity you are more than capable.
I know you always relish a challenge and I have no doubt that you will give it your all as that is the type of upbringing you have had.

As far as I am concerned once you are appointed to the position of Attorney General by the present administration you are tainted.

Let’s see if he will invistigate ALL those who have suspect property in Dominica. You cannot legally attain property worth $8,000,000 or more on a salary of less than $10,000 during a period of less than five years.
And this is why I am so upset that Dominicans are giving some politicians free-bee on this. The money will eventually be sent to banks overseas to secure their eventual departure. It happened in Haiti, Congo and Liberia , hence forth with these countries are so poor today. Take heed my country men and women and protect your future. Or don’t cry when it happen to us
