A new tropical depression has formed in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean about 635 south south west of the Cape Verde Islands.
At 5 am the depression was located near latitude 9.4 north longitude 26.3 west. This system is moving toward the west near 15 mph and a turn to the west northwest is expected during the next few days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts, some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours and the depression could become a tropical storm later today.
Computer models indicate that it could grow into a hurricane later this week.
Presently the weather system poses no threat to Dominica.

iT IS MOVING WEST AND WILL TURN WNW SO IT WILL GO NORTH OF US
What if it turn to late we will get the hit
We will keep a watchful eye on you for sure. The likelihood of you turning and start moving to the west is expected some how as these things sometimes fool the experts. It is much too low to feel safe just yet.
