Alancia Baron of Hagley Grand Bay, an outpatient nurse at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), is the lucky winner of the $15,000 shopping spree in the LIME Summer Mega Moments promotion.
The Summer Mega Moments promotion launched in early August afforded LIME customers an opportunity to win weekly prizes including laptops, iPhones, BlackBerry handsets, supermarket and gas vouchers, plus a chance to win the grand prize of the fifteen thousand dollar shopping spree.
Customers qualified by paying their bills in full and on time and by topping-up $20 or more on their LIME prepaid mobile accounts. Customers who signed up for any new service from LIME also qualified to win the weekly prizes and the grand prize.
With collaboration from the Acting Hospital Services Coordinator, LIME was able to surprise Baron on the job immediately after ending her 3 pm shift greeting her with the exciting news that she was the winner of the fifteen thousand dollar shopping spree grand prize. She had no clue that a call received from LIME the day before to sell her internet service was in fact a call to establish her identity and confirm her location for delivery of this exciting news the following day.
Nurses working the same shift were asked to remain after the end of their shift; however they didn’t mind the inconvenience when they learnt the purpose for the request. Baron appears to be a very well-loved nurse and both nurses and doctors on shift at the time came out to congratulate her on her winnings. An excited Nurse Baron hadn’t a clue yet what she would use the Shopping spree for, however she did indicate needing a car and requiring to pay for some educational opportunities.
She thanked LIME for providing her with the chance to win and encouraged customers to support the leading telecommunications company.
LIME has since launched another promotion called X-Tra Long Talk where five customers will win $500 weekly. This promotion is tied to the Talk XL Value promotion currently in market which allows customers to talk for five minutes and get an extra twenty-five minutes free. Customers who talk the longest within the thirty minute period quality for win the cash prizes.
