THE JEFF JOSEPH WEST COAST HIGH WAY
NO BETTER WAY TO REMEMBER THIS LEGEND AS SAID IN A BLOGG ON DOMINICA DIASPORA
I SUPPORT THIS IDEA
Nah! I think we should go for something more in line with heritage culture. How about renaming the DFC’s office after him?
I believe naming the stadium would have been more in line since he was an ambassador for the creole culture and heritage in Dominica
Rest in Peace Bro I loved enjoyed nd adored your music. As Voltaface I enjoyed cooking for you, serving you as Jeff Joes was indeed my greatest pleasure. You were very down to earth and you never let the money nd fame get to your head. Everybody was everybody with you, rich, poor, ghetto, homeless etyc you loved everyone. Rest In Peace

“ès zô pawé ? pou voyéy monté ?”
“ès zô pawé ? zô détewminé ?”
Nous te disons merci pour tout l’amour que tu as répandu autour de toi, va en paix.
Tu es gravé dans notre coeur, Jeff

SAME HERE FROM MARIGOT AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND CREAOL. THE VILLAGE OF WESELY AND MARIGOT WAS FORBIDDEN TO SPEAK CREAOL BY THE FORPARENTS ,STATING IT WAS NOT GOOD FOR US. I UNDERSTAND A FEW WORDS BUT CANNOT HAVE A CONVERSATION IN CREAOL. WHICH I DID, HOWEVER, THE MUSIC IS PART OF ME. LOVE IT TO THE MAX. REST IN PEACE JEFF JOSEPH, A TRUE PIONEER.
U r missing the point, so Dominican.
Go ez on de brudda!
1.Creole is not taught at schools here.
2. Creole is not official recognized by law.
3. Can you speak Cokoy, which is also a dominican dialect?
4. Have you try teaching someone this lingo?

Jeff you will never be forgotten . Saw your last performance and enjoyed it. I will forever remember our conversation in the Park. I know that you have gone to a good place . you and Patrick St Eloi continue to make music up there. JAH GUIDE.
BROTHER JEFF,LAST YEAR WHEN I WE BUMPED INTO EACH OTHER IN BROOKLYN IT WAS NICE,YOU SAID TO ME ANYTIME I SAW YOU MAKE SURE I SAY HI.YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU AND MY DAD ARE GOOD FRIENDS,MY DAD PLAYED ALL YOUR MUSIC GROWING UP IN ST,THOMAS.YOUR BROTHER LENNON SCRATCHY HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BIG BROTHER TO ME.ARLENE,PAULA MAHALIA ARE MY SISTERS,YOU WILL BE MISSED BRO.YOUR MUSIC AND GRAMMACKS MUSIC WILL LIVE FOREVER,REST IN PEACE
IT SEEMS TO ME SOME PEOPLE DEATH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SOME OR POPULARITY MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.VERNIE JULIEN DIED AN UNFORTUNATE DEATH DAYS BEFORE AND IT DID NOT CONCERN NO ONE BUT JEFF JOE DIED A NATURAL DEATH AND IT SADDEN EVERYBODY.LETS HOPE THAT AT THE END OF ALL THAT FANFARE HE’LL BE ABLE TO ENTER GOD’S KINGDOM.ALL I CAN SAY IS MAY HIS SOUL AS WELL AS VERNIE SOUL REST IN PEACE.
stop being a fool
HELLO ME HOW U DOING? I GUESS U ARE A FOOL FOR U TO KNOW WHEN ONE IS BEING A FOOL.THANKS ANYWAY
Didn’t want to do this but I couldn’t ignore. With all due respect, the lady who died was not an Internationally-renowned Creole Music Entertainer and Promoter ok? I understand your point but don’t be so negative at a time like this. Families are mourning loved ones so if you are in anyway a part of a grieving family go grieve and give it a rest. SMDH
a las. mon seigneur meme a la mort il y a la division et la jalousie. in other words even in death there is division.plesae come on all can’t be the same. may his soul rest in peace. laisse lui trequille.D’accord? Merci

Sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. May the memories of all the times you spent together carry you through your period of grief and mourning. We share your pain.
Rest in Peace. You are with the Lord now. Safely in his arms
Jeff was truly a superstar. I’m so grateful that he walked the earth. I’m honored to have met him,I’m honored to be from the same planet, same region, same country, same town and same area The Morne! Rest in peace soldier your memory and music shall live on forever!
Since Jeff Joseph’s passing away Radio Caraibe International has not stopped honouring Jeff. Everyday since his passing homage has been paid to him on RCI. On Thursday night Martinique held a cultural wake for Jeff. One Journalist on RCI said that it was standing room only at the Aime Ceasar Park; practically all of Martinique showed up. Guadeloupe asked that his body be brought to Guadeloupe before it was taken to Dominica so that they to could pay homage to him. His family apologized to Guadeloupe and told them that Jeff loved them, but that it was not physically possible. Tonight Martinique television is paying homage to Jeff.
I sincerely hope that Dominica does the same. I am saddened to hear that all of St.Joseph did not turn out to welcome Jeff home, a man who put Dominica on the world musical map; a man who remained true to his roots.
When Jeff Joseph was in concert in the French islands, he would have a Dominican flag tied around his head, and would be speaking to the crowd in both English and French.
I hope that Dominica trully honours him for all he did to promote Domimica and our creole culture. His little nine year old son is in the Dominica that his father loved. I hope that Dominica show that grieving little boy how much it loved Jeff.
As far as I know his last performance was at the WCMF 2011. I wish that the funeral ceremony could take place at the stadium and then the cortege move down to St, Joseph. I hope to that the stadium could be named the Jeff Joseph Windsor Park Stadium. His son would leave Dominica knowing that his father was also honoured in his native land. Many of Jeff’s friends worldwide will be attending his funeral, I hope that he is honoured in grand style.
I didn’t know Jeff personallY. I only saw him twice once at customs in Dominica and once in guadeloupe. He was standing right next to me but I was afraid to say hello. I am just someone who likes to see things done right. I hope that Dominica honours Jeff the way Guadeloupe honours Patrick St. Eloi.
omg, i can’t watch them that again nah, my famiily hurting so bad caus of the lose of our family member

nom a chalai la kité mwen ns péké touvé on homme kon li repose en paix jeff jo
This is very sad indeed but I feel that there could be more people on the streets celebrating his life.
there’s gonna be a gig celebration my yute, this is just him coming home.
DO NOT BE SO SAD ABOUT THE AMOUT OF PEOPLE ON THE STREET TO CELEBRATE JEFF’S LIFE. HE IS NOT JUDGE BY MAN BUT BY THE MOST HIGH.
You are right they are celebrating his life so what is the problem with that? When you leave this world won’t you want your friends and family to celebrate your life? The amount of people on the streets means he’s had a good life and he was well loved. It’s not up to us or the people on the street to judge him in the after life.
were you there
U even wanna tell ppl what to celebrate. well you come out papa
MY ONE REGRET IS THAT I ONLY SAW HIM PERFORM ONCE. I LOVED HIS MUSIC. LOVED HIS PERSONALITY. HE ALWAYS WAS SO FRIENDLY AND HAPPY. SO KIND ALWAYS BROUGHT A SMILE TO MY FACE WHENEVER HE WAS AROUND. IM STILL HOPING THAT THIS IS SOME DREAM.
RIP JEFF JO
I’m still grappling to come to terms with your passing. R.I.P Jeff Joe. R.I.P
Rest in peace Jeff joe
Rest in peace. Your music brought me so much happiness!
