Are you people serious!? People say Dominica is a lost cause…no DOMINICANS are a lost cause.

l am an independent non-aligned Dominica citizen. But the Prime Minister of Dominica of our country is attending the OECS “HEADS of Goverment” conference and we react with all these immature comments. The rest of the world must “SMHing” at us.

Now if the comments were about the viability/success of the OECS itself this I would understand. This would actually be a healthy debate.

We feel good about ourselves coming on here day in day out commenting to the WORLD how backward our country is. But the only thing that’s backward here is us…”THE CITIZENS.”

No patiotic Dominican who claims to love our country deprecates the country in front of the world like that. I don’t care how you feel about the Prime Minister in office. A TRUE patriotic Dominican never let his/her feeling about the government in office determine how he/she feels about his/her country. ????

Does this man ever stay on Dominica to conduct the business of the country and run things or does he always take taxpayer funded vacations disguised and camouflaged as fact finding excursions. No wonder nothing gets done on Dominica, the Prime Minister is always away on vacation. Who is paying for all his vacations?

I’m a bit curious about Skerrit’s thoughts when he travels to the other Caribbean countries and meet with his counterparts. Doesn’t he feel guilty and ashamed of the present underdeveloped state of Dominica in comparison to remarkable infrastructural and economic developments in these neighboring countries? All the OECS countries are far ahead leaving Dominica in the distant rear.

I guess the same way Patick John, Eugenia Charles, Edison James, Roosevelt Skeritt, and Pierre Charles felt. So what’s you stupid point?

        .correction…Roosevelt Douglas not Skeritt…….

Anon, I’m not surprised or perturbed by your response. We live in a culture, once you speak the truth, expect to be subjected to demeaning and vicious attacks. In fact, there’s a saying, “Tell the truth then run.” You may resent the truth, distort it, vilify the person speaking it, but the truth remains stubbornly truthful.

    • June 15, 2018

@Ibo France, it is you and yours who think that Dominica is undeveloped, not the Prime Minister.

I am sure that you do not know the way of Life in Dominica before, say 1974, well I know it. You people are simply repeating and believing what you heard from those who do not want to see the country grow, by the rulership of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, and that is that.

But PM Skerrit is under the Rulership of the Most High God–and he knows that; what he is doing can never fail, unless he turns away from God’s guidance; i am sure he will never do that.

If Roosevelt leadership comes from from God, and Dominica is in the state as it is; and God allowed a hurricane to destroy Dominica, the way it has perhaps God forgot his appointed to rule was in power, or he punished the entire nation because of some evil his appointed Roosevelt has done!

If God appointed Roosevelt to rule Dominica; the people and country would be the most prosperous on the planet, instead Dominica remains on of  the poorest  place on the planet.

So, Elizabeth, if your argument is correct, then God perhaps hate Dominicans or his appointed leader so much so, that he keeps punishing our people mercilessly!

But you see, God do not operate in hate, he allows things to happen, sometimes for us to learn a lesson. Remember in the middle of the hurricane, Roosevelt tweeted on his face book: ” I am at the mercy of the hurricane.” That speaks volumes, that little rat is lucky God spared his life.

Nevertheless, we have not him say thank God!

Elizabeth, get a grip of reality. For too long you’ve been living in fantasy bubble. You are definitely a cult worshipper of Mr. Skerrit. If Mr. Linton or any other leader were in office for 18 consecutive years and the country was in this dilapidated, unsightly, economically stagnated state, I would have vociferously demanded their resignation. Dominica looks like a God-forsaken place in comparison to all the neighboring islands. This is just an irrefutable statement which you cannot honestly deny. Just admit it, Skerrit does not have the intellectual capability to effectuate meaningful changes to make Dominica a shining light in the Caribbean Sea. Elizabeth, stop your cult worship.

The country is in a mess and we are going nowhere, with Skerrit and failed Government giving handouts that does not has not and will not be converted to NY MEANINGFUL DEVVELOMENT FOR OUR poor people. I just cant get it why an intelligent lady like Elizabeth cant comprehend this suffering our people go through. Corrupt Labour government and Skerrit must go.

Man bites dogs, do you want to live in squalor until you take your last gasp of oxygen? The country will continue to go to the dogs because the current leader is bankrupt of ideas. Dominica needs to breathe again , Skerrit and his minions are suffocating the progress of the country. Take a chance on the other party for you have nothing to lose. Things can’t get worse for Dominica has hit bottom. The only direction to go from here is up. Tell the PM that you’ve had enough of his gross incompetence.

Again, very few support you , you get a majority of people dismissing you, rejecting you , because you write nonsense. Run away from the failed Skerrit and this corrupt labour government. They have killed our island paradise.

    • June 18, 2018

Dominica has been struggling to improve its infrastructure, every government in the past have made efforts in that regard. So your silly propaganda indicating that Skeritt is solely responsible for the state of our infrastructure is plain stupid.

Roosevelt might as well sit his behind in Dominica!

His input, and theories matters not to any other head of state in the Caribbean; what  can the head of the most underdeveloped, most backward; the poorest place on the planet which economy is based on the sale of diplomatic passports contribute to the more developed, and prosperous places on the planet?

The only thing Roosevelt have to contribute is the artists rendition of all the projects he is holding in his belly, which when implemented is going to make Dominica the envy of the world!

He is going to introduce his model of backwardness to the rest:

By the time it is over when they clap and laugh, he will think they are applauding his genius, not realizing they have made him the joke of the century!

Roosevelt is the Dominica joke-man! Who have money fire away; Broke countries like Dominica joke-man Roosevelt stand back oui!

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Madam/Sir Silver Fox fictitious as you are, I do not know if you are a fool or not because your sentiments in my opinion reads beneath that of an illiterate person! I am not a dog, therefore I cannot eat a dog; I’ve never saw a dog eat another.

As far as I know the conduct, and behavior of most animals surpasses that of yours and Roosevelt Skerrit!

Anybody who supports Roosevelt Skerrit, and his failed governance of Dominica, at this point and time of our history is indeed a fool! There are a pile of scum of the earth people in Dominica with no social nor economic ambition who admires Roosevelt personal wealth while they suffer, in hunger and pain.

You are one of them, therefore you will die propping up Skerrit, causing him to destroy the country, only because of some crumbs the devil leaves that he throws in your face!

Ninety percent of working people without work, yet you revere the man who has them in bondage!

Since our PM spends so much time traveling it’s about time the nation buys him a Prime Ministerial plane. An ideal aircraft is a medium-to-short range jet with a capacity of at least 20. That way the PM can jet up and down the Caribbean as well as North and South America with fuel stops in Cuba and Venezuela if necessary.

Can anyone suggest a new or lightly used jet that fits the bill? Our hard working PM deserves better than LIAT or CAL.

Who is gonna pay for it and service i and insure it. You see how ignorant your thoughts are just because of Skerrit. Its all about that failed Om with a failed corrupt Labour government. These are the matters you should be addressing, not run after what some refer to as a boom boom fly a failed on after 18 years. Can you imagine after 18 years Skerrit has nothing in decent in politics that he can should out “YES!” to the people of Domininca. You blind silly puppets of Skerrit’s have failed him and perhaps fr a few pieces of silver, in local language buying people for loyalty that one does not have and achieved, so you the Kids, blind followers are kicking Skerrit down the dark drain to no where. Skerrit has failed us, YOU, blind followers and Domiininca.
