RBC closes temporarily due to “health and safety precautions”

The Royal Bank of Canada in Roseau

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) located on the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard in Roseau has announced that it will be closed until further notice due to “health and safety precautions.”

It also said a temporary location will be announced as soon as possible.

“Our full-service ATM will remain here to support your financial needs including deposits, withdrawals, bill and credit card payments,” a notice on the bank’s door reads.

It also encouraged clients to use alternative service options “including the RBC mobile app and online banking tools.”

Customers were told to call its client advice center for credit and online banking needs.

“We remain committed to meeting your needs and look forward to continue to serve you today and in the future,” the notice said.

Such a shame.. Can’t the government assist them. Everything in this country back to front.

Government assist? Why should they? RBC is a Canadian bank that is in direct competition to our own National Bank.
Some of you all don’t think??

What I hearing there nah! Government assist??? All you have to break that habit of begging!!! All you too like handouts! The bank can fix the building on their own and let the people waive the rent to make up for whatbthey spent.

Well here we finally got it, Dominicans see the government as their private bank because Skerrit encourages them to do so and make them totally dependent on him. Where are all these proud, hard working people gone that used to life on this island?? Just beggars left that are willing to sell their soul to the devil for just a few dollars!!

They probably found mold inside the building post Maria.

This could be possible if plasterboard/drywall is present in the building’s structure. It is highly susceptible to bacterial growth, in damp/humid conditions, that produce harmful toxins. I have always held that this material is not suitable for our climate.even when dried out it wil continue the growth of fungal spores, which cause especially respiratory problems.

If they use the wrong material yes you will get mold. But the right material they should be fine.
        Just saying.

@ Maletete …it is built in bricks. And any place with is not exposed to circulating natural air (air from outside) and is always cool / cold will develop mold. The banks are always very cool
