The Dominica Cancer Society Inc endorses the effort of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in their fund-raising walk and run across the Caribbean to benefit the RBC/RBTT Children’s Cancer Fund, carded for September 25 (eve of World Rivers Day).
Pediatric cancer is a terrible disease and families often need financial support when their children are treated. Dominica is among the four countries that have benefited from this effort.
The event will start at 5 a.m. from the RBC branch on Dame Eugenia Boulevard to Melvina Bar in Pointe Michel.
Since it is the 30th Anniversary of World Rivers Day, try to identify, locate and name the rivers along the route. Even more import give us (World Rivers Day Committee Inc.) your impression of the status of those rivers. IE. Are they healthy? Are the business places along those rivers enhancing these water resources? etc.
