Rosalie Bay Resort named among “World’s Best” by Travel + Leisure

Rosalie Bay Resort is an eco-boutique and wellness resort in Dominica

Rosalie Bay Resort celebrates its debut appearance on the highly prestigious World’s Best list by Travel + Leisure magazine.

In the Travel + Leisure 2017 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey, the eco-wellness Dominica resort is ranked No. 13 in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas. It is the only resort on the Nature Island to secure a spot on the renowned list.

With signature West Indies gingerbread-style accommodations, island-fresh dining, a farm-to-spa-table spa, sea turtle conservation program and authentic excursions, Rosalie Bay scored high marks with the magazine’s affluent readers and had an overall score of 93.73.

“It is a great honor for our secluded resort in emerging Dominica to join this distinguished list of amazing Caribbean properties and to know that we are feeding the travel passions of our cherished guests who visit from around the world,” says Beverly Deikel, founder and owner of Rosalie Bay Resort, Dominica. “It’s a pleasure for Rosalie Bay to represent the Nature Island and I’m grateful to our staff for their dedication.”

“Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards provide a picture of what the world’s most discerning travelers are finding most satisfying in travel right now. What’s clear to me this year is how much they are drawn to experiences that aren’t just enjoyable but provide something richer—cultural immersion, mental and physical wellbeing, a true sense of adventure,” said Travel + Leisure Editor in Chief Nathan Lump. “It’s not easy to satisfy this group, but the destinations, hotels, and companies that are doing it know that today’s traveler cares about a lot more than creature comforts.”

The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards are based on the annual Travel + Leisure World’s Best survey, where 300,000 readers shared their opinion of their favorite travel providers and experiences. In the 22nd annual survey, readers rated hotels based on room and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value.

  2. Hogwash, total hogwash, maybe the one who made that declaration might know the meaning of a bribe, or they have a warp perception of what is termed a “resort.”

Congratulations to the management and staff of the Rosalie Resort.
But how will tourists n others folks get to Rosalie when the road is so so so bad?
This road to the south east is unacceptable to humankind. Whatever or whoever is dealing with this snail pace project got issues.
Southeast folks must demand that the roads are fixed n the south east gets the same treatment as the other parts of Dominica.
There need for street lights all along pond casee to the resort n the other dark areas in the south east.
Signage is also a big problem. There is néed for proper signs so as to make life easier for tourists.
Progress in the south east is to slow? This has been the general political trend regarding progress in the south east. Is there something wrong with the southeast or the pal reps?
The only light in the south east is the resort, thank God. But the Labour Party must deliver to the south east… Southeast people are people too…

Stupes #13 DNO go get hardwork to do. I find all you getting lazy just like Skerrit them.
Rosalie Bay dont make number 1. An unlucky #13 is so low not even in the world but the WestIndies? Maybe they was # 300 overall. Is on Uwp back they be and see how we place . Hope that place employ 13 new people . They build a new bridge $55 Millions and the old bridge wasn’t very bad ; just a little repainting and use big stones to block the river wall. Two carpenters and forty masons and twenty bags of cement and we would save plentiful money and use the money to build a stadium for football with athletic tracks in the Gardens. Now Issac is my real leader because linton head filled up with suits as a tailor. His mouth catch up with him. Ziko cannot win yet but Lentil cannot win PM.

Congratulations and all the Best going forward. We from Grandfond, River Cyrique, Mornejuane, and the Rest of the south East, are proud of the Achievement and the management and Staff of the Rosalie Resort, A.k.A. Rosalie Estate/ former Banana Boxing plant location, where some of us Growing up in Dominica, started, our life long journey, working at the Boxing Plant, and taking our Bananas to purchased, wash and Boxed, and Transported by Truck, to fond Cole, as nd loaded on Guest Ship to the U.K. memories, don’t leave like people do. Brief Rich History, of this now Remarkable, place. Imagine, an international Airport to facilitate easy travel in and out of Dominica? Big money they’re are saying, I agree, But upgrade the low, low Bridge, at Rosalie the only main link, connecting various, Villages, further East. We have Seen it Impassable, during Heavy Rain storm, and Hurricanes in Recent Times. I even have a name for a New Bridge” The Ivo Stevenson Bridge”!forward Thinking…
