Members of the Rotaract Club of Roseau continue their commitment to the community when the club presented food items to 77-year-old Celestine Brumant of Fond Cole on Saturday, January 22, 2011.
Brumant, who resides alone, is blind and is unable to move around expressed his gratitude for the donation and thanked the club immensely.
Roseau City Council representative Lucy Belle-Matthew was on hand to witness the presentation and remarked that, “It is important and encouraging to see young people involved in community service while providing service especially to the elder persons of our society. She encourages the club to continue the good work and never hesitate to provide assist where needed”.
The club adopted an elderly man for over five years in the community of Dubique. Since then he has passed on and was taken care of until his final rest.
The club is presently deciding on selecting another elderly person to be adopted by the club.

Positive vibes, I love it!! Let us keep helping and building each other instead of fighting and tearing down one another.
It is great to see young people (club members) making a difference in someone who is in need it would be great if others in the community would rally round, i know times may be hard but there are other needs not financially infringing that he may need, lets support him, maybe his clothes needs washing, house needs a mopping whatever the need is, lets give a helping hand in love. i will be contacting the club to give a financial donation as i live abroad.
way to go people.
Thank you. This would be most appreciated by the Rotaract Club of Roseau. We look forward to your kind assistance
