Thanks in a large part to its regional and international partners, the Rotary Club of Dominica assisted by the Rotaract Club of Roseau, has been actively engaged in distributing relief supplies across the island, to persons affected by the ravages of TS Erika.

Soon after TS Erika devastated the island, several Rotary Clubs in the region spearheaded the relief aid efforts for Dominica. In particular, the Rotary Clubs of St. Kitts, BVI, St. Croix, St Marten, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Marie Galante and St Vincent responded quickly with generously with supplies of water, food, clothing, toiletries and linen. Tropical Shipping and Express Des Iles have also assisted greatly by providing free shipping for some of these supplies.

The Government of Dominica has also played a significant role by facilitating easy clearance of the all relief cargo. The Rotary Club of Dominica is truly grateful for the generosity and support of the Rotary Clubs during this time of crisis. They have truly lived up to this year’s Rotary theme, ‘Be a gift to the World.’
