Parliamentary Representative for Salisbury Hector John says the Salisbury Reunion should be used as an opportunity to rekindle pride and unity.
He was addressing the official launching of the Salisbury Reunion 2011 under the theme “Building Community with pride and unity” on Sunday.
He said the togetherness and faith in God has been the pillar of the community’s success over the years.
“For any community to make positive enhancement there must be unity. This unity must be fueled by the pride that everyone has for being part of that community. Putting this reunion together is a hallmark of the true unity in Salisbury,” he said.
Meantime 16-year-old Shanell Dangleben is the winner of the Miss Salisbury Reunion 2011.
Dangleben cupped the awards for best in costume, best talent and best in evening wear.
Mr.john. I spoke to you recently and u seem to me an honest and ethical man. But I could still sense a fear or discouragement in you which, I could only guess, came from the insurmountable task ahead of you,to make the blind see, but don’t let your shoulders down my brother, the people and the truth are behind you. So stand proudly on the foundation of honesty and ethics and challenge the dragon. Know that we are behind you. Their own deceit will be their snare and there will be no escape for them in the day of reckoning no matter how many weapons they may form and lashes that they may strike.
