Dominicans asked to be on the alert as three weather systems approach

Activity in the Atlantic on Monday afternoon

The Dominica Met Office is warning interests in Dominica to closely monitor three weather systems in the Atlantic that are moving towards the Caribbean.

A tropical wave located just east of Dominica will move across the island late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

This will be followed by an area of low pressure located in the Central Atlantic which will move across the island late Tuesday into Wednesday bringing an increase in showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds.

The second system has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression before it reaches Dominica.

A third wave located in the far Eastern Atlantic is expected to approach the islands by the weekend.

Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution.

Dominica News Online will closely monitor these weather systems and will provide updates as they become available.

Where does DNO get it’s information from? It seems from all else I have seen and read that there is only one system of imminent threat to Dominica and that is the tropical depression , soon to be tropical storm TD9 ..

Overhyping reporting like this only leads to complacency among the populace when those three “threats” do not materialize …

DNO please do better and provide accurate information to your readers!!!

All u suddenly want to know God? its always when people need something they want to know God? Every time some issue like homosexuality arise on this site, its slam God, slam the bible, fight God. its human rights. why don’t ya’ll send for the powers of the world to protect ya’ll this time? Send for Cameron, Send for Obama. Their word count more not so? In the end, you all really know there’s a higher power. thankfully he is good and merciful and kind. but hopefully its not when ya’ll on your dying bed u will say sorry for promoting homosexuality, after all u spend your life promoting it. while you have the life now is the time to spread the good word and stand up for morality, and GOD!

What a load of nonsense. I don’t know there is a higher power, I am not gay, and I am probably more moral than all of the fanatical posters on here. So, please stop evangelizing and acting as if you *know* that you are right about everything, since you don’t.

Lord almighty, please look over our island, and the entire Caribbean. With all these senseless murders going on, just send the rain to wash out all the badness that’s taking place. I do not question your work lord, but keep everyone safe.

Good prayer. But I do not uderstand how the rain
can wash away the “badness” in the country.Really?
Then the rain destroy the roads, creates another problem. What about asking God through his Son to protect the Universe. Blessings!
