The general public is asked to note that the area of low pressure accompanying a tropical wave over the Central Atlantic has developed into Tropical Depression SEVEN.
At 5pm, the center of Tropical Depression SEVEN was located near Latitude 13.7North, Longitude 43.8West or about 1155 miles east of the Windward Islands.
The Tropical Depression is moving towards the west near 20 mph. This general motion is expected to continue for the next 48 hours.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Slow strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours and the Depression could become a Tropical Storm on Friday.
Interest in the Windward Islands should monitor the progress of this system.
