Tropical wave conditions affecting Dominica

Weather map on Monday afternoon

Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslide and falling rocks are being asked to exercise caution as an area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is moving slowly across the Lesser Antilles.

The Dominica Met Office said this system will continue to spread heavy rains and gusty winds to portions of the Lesser Antilles, including Dominica, on Monday night through Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another westward moving tropical wave located in the Tropical Atlantic is expected in the area on Wednesday.

Additionally, yet another tropical wave accompanied by an area of low pressure is located in the Central Tropical Atlantic.

DNO will monitor the system and provide updates when they are available.
