A tropical wave is moving across the Lesser Antilles, the Dominica Met Office is reporting.

Cloudiness, showers, gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue to spread across portions of the island chain today through early Sunday.

Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks should be vigilant.

Meanwhile, another tropical wave is located in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic.

Dominica News Online will monitor these weather systems and will publish updates when they become available.

That is so correct every CLOUD is a Wave which brings rain to this area every year. If the system develops which it can do at this time of year it will then go on progressively to (God forbid) a Hurricane. But with all respect to you they are first called Tropical Eaves.

No problem! The weather I think will be fine it is not a hurricane. The weather stations have been getting it wrong all this year! My thoughts are that there is a lot of Sarah dust which makes everything grey. We will probably have some heavy showers but I don’t really see a problem. If you all are thinking I don’t know what I am talking about I have been writing a blog about the weather in Dominica for 6 years!!

Presumptuous and about the weather? So what about you writing a blog about the weather in DA for 6 years. How intelligent and weather-wise are you? You are not God. You do not control the weather. If you know anything about the weather, you should know that it changes its course many times and when we least expect it.

I happen to know a lot about the weather. I have been through hurricane Louis and a lot of other hurricanes. The weather conditions are not right for a hurricane at the moment! I was right about the weather this weekend!! :) I was just trying to stop people worrying as the weather forecasters got it wrong again………………..
