Many Dominicans residing overseas writes negative comments about Dominica, and this is very sad. I have been residing in Houston Texas for 27 years, and I will tell you, Dominica is beautiful and developed. After all, take a drive on the Major Roads, look at the beautiful buildings, Watch some of the local TV programs, listen to the radio stations, and what about the small businesses selling the local foods on the highways, and at the small retail stores? Moreover, tourism is doing well, and so much progress and development in all communities throughout the island. Without a doubt, Dominica is doing great and I am not being political but I think you should agree the present government is doing an exceptional job. On June 29, 2013 I night landed at Melville Hall Airport, 8:40 p.m., and was so impressed that I cried with joy and a sense of gratitude. God Bless Dominica and god Bless the present Labor Party Leadership. Amen I Say!

TS Chantal, quite possible could be a blessing in disguise for the island of dominica..

When a society is evil and corrupt as Dominica is presently, natural elements normally brings sense to hard skulls in the society

    God watch over Dominica

Yah, coming from someone who wants to let all of us Dominicans know they’re in South Beach. I suppose Dominica is more evil and corrupt than South Beach right, or America, where you’re supposedly living. Garcon, when allu leave Dominica, all of a sudden DA is the worst, Garcon I’ll tell you what, wash your hand, turn your back, don’t come back, don’t comment, don’t care, whatever, just leave us alone, if you just want to stay and condemn us rather than helping us to move forward.

Pray for God to watch over A…H… like you! You want to call Dominica corrupt? I really wonder whether you are in South Beach or your imagination going wild. For what it’s worth, which country other than the US that is more evil and corrupt? It is no wonder why the wrath of God is falling on them and you by extension.

ℓ☺ℓ. Am reading some “sick” comments and feedback from the post. Shouldn’t we be focusing on the Storm coming and the fact that we are on storm watch? Anyway peeps get prepared especially folks in the south of the island as the Storm centre will pass further south base on the storm predicted trajectory. So stock up on dry foods, water, extra cylinder of cooking gas, tools including a cutlass (u can tie some aditional insulation material-rubber-on the handle), flash light, first aid kit, battery operated radio are some of the essentials that you should be present for an emergency. Well folks although this weather is 20 toes weather-you still have to be cautious. There’s a storm comming so be ready!!!

Anonymous, seems like Dno is yours before somebody post a comment you are at their throat. Anybody can make a mistake. Nowadays any simple phone have internet, so if the person say their house leaking wats your point, she could be renting. Its time that you stop trying to embarrass people and stick to the subject or better yet reserved your comments and insults and stop hurting human beings . Sad how we look down on our own people . Stop blowing hot and cold are you one of the parrots young bull sang about or are you trying to be perfect . Fed up

  30. July 8, 2013

I hope that everyone is listening. It may be a minor storm if it should make landfall, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Keep your eyes and ears open, make sure you stay indoors to be on the safe side. DO NOT be too inquisitive, stay safe.

  31. lets pray and love
    July 8, 2013

Stop the name calling, PREPARE AND PRAY. We will need each other before and after the storm. Even though the storm might turn, we still have to get ready. I still remember Hurricane David. It was not funny, and we had to depend on the outside world to help us. I still think it affected Dominica and the Caribbean for a very long time.

Life is too short, and we must love one other, our enemies. When disaster strikes, we will be surprise who will save and help us. Lord, protect Dominica and the other Caribbean counties in the path of the Hurricane. Because if it hits, it is going to devastating.
