U.S. Consular Officer to hold appointments for U.S. Citizens in Dominica

The U.S. Embassy to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is pleased to announce that a Consular Officer will visit Dominica from Tuesday, February 27th, to Thursday, March 1st.

The officer will provide U.S. Citizens Services and accept applications for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA). Unfortunately, we are not able to discuss visa cases during these outreach trips.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We no longer accept handwritten passport application forms. You must fill out all passport application forms online at https://pptform.state.gov/ and then print them. Please have all forms completed prior to your appointment and bring originals and copies of all supporting documents.

Appointments will be held at the Peace Corps Office, 8 King George V Street, Roseau,

Tuesday, February 27: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 28: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, March 1: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

You must make an appointment online to meet with the Consular Officer. Please follow instructions on the U.S. Embassy’s website at http://barbados.usembassy.gov/acs_consularvisits.html.

Fees must be paid by international money order or bank draft made out to “U.S. Embassy.” PLEASE NOTE: The money order or bank draft must have the correct and exact amount. We will not issue any refunds. Fees are:

· Child’s passport (under age 16): US$105

· First adult passport: US$135

· CRBA: US$100

· Notarials: US$50 per signature

If you are renewing a 10-year passport issued less than 15 years ago, and can present your expired passport, you may apply by mail directly to the Embassy. The fee is US$110. If you cannot present a previous 10-year passport issued less than fifteen years ago, you must appear in person for an interview with the consular officer. The fee is US$135.

All applicants must provide: A completed passport application; two passport-size photos (2” x 2”); proof of U.S. citizenship such as previous U.S. passport, U.S. birth certificate, U.S. Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or U.S. naturalization certificate; and a social security card. Please bring originals AND photocopies of all documents. You must also provide a prepaid air waybill (FedEx, DHL, LIAT QuikPak, etc.) in order to have the new passport mailed back to you.

For a child under age 16, if both parents are listed on the birth certificate, both parents must appear in person with the child OR a signed, notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent from the non-applying parent/guardian must be submitted. Please bring the documents listed above PLUS the child’s birth certificate and both parents’ passports or other identification. For a child whose passport was last issued when they were six years old or younger, you must bring age progression photos. The photos must clearly show the child’s face and show their age progression from the issuance of their last passport to present day.

    POUL I don’t need a hand out from skerro cus I make more money than he does, you said I wont make it in the States , for your information I have been thru all the states in the Union except Alaska and have made by car , plane , and train, I have and still travel the World, I have been to places that you will never travel in many life time , so check your self before you wreck your self, in future when you bite into those comments respond with an open mind cus you may never know who you are addressing . your comment reflect your educational status[ DUMP LIKE TRUMP]

      I’m absolutely clear whom I’m addressing, both of your comments say it all. You know quite alot of people in Dominica or that come from Dominica have alot of money, problem is it’s fantasy money, you know the kind of money you get from watching to much US TV. By the way, how much have you got? Are you counting it every night? Poor little DREAMER!

    To poul russnof for your information I am a Dominican who has been in the U.S.A. for 40 years I have a dual citizen status so I know what am talking about so don’t pass judgentment we have Dominicans who has been waiting for there green cards that was file by there mother’s father’s excetra and there faith has been in Limbo because of the laxadelic attitude of the American Embassy attitudes, because we are a so called third world country , so yes I come home I provide employment I provide to the economy, so your comment was not appropriate, I was stating what the master slave owner was doing to my people , they play us, I have been there , they have us waiting at the dinner table to collect the bread crumps cus they the power . and acationally they come to D.A and pretend they are doing something , NO they are coming to make a fool

    I think the staff need a vacation so they come to Dominica, did you see when they say no visa processing, so why they here? the stuff they come here for don’t even make sense, the people who have or has and expired U.S. passport know what to do, they need to stop pulling people strings like puppets, they need to speed up the visa, and green cards applicant of Dominicans who has been waiting for eternity, that’s when I will give them some respect, otherwise they can stay in Barbados.
