‘Video shows Muammar Gaddafi being sodomized’

SIRTE (BNO NEWS) — A video released by the Global Post appears to capture an unidentified man sodomizing ousted Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi with an object before he was eventually killed.

The video was released on Friday but a closer review of the footage on Saturday appears to show a person bending over and inserting a thin piece of wood inside Gaddafi’s bottom. The video was released by the website Global Post, which obtained the footage from rebel fighters.

Dominica News Online is advising viewer’s discretion. VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLGY5czS1XQ

Gaddafi was captured on Thursday morning by fighters supporting Libya’s transitional government as he tried to flee his hometown Sirte. He was eventually shot dead, but it remains unclear whether he was executed by his captors or if he was killed during fighting between pro-Gaddafi and anti-Gaddafi forces.

On Friday, Amnesty International urged the new Libyan authorities to ensure a full, independent and impartial investigation into how Gaddafi died. “If Colonel Gaddafi was killed after his capture, it would constitute a war crime and those responsible should be brought to justice,” said Claudio Cordone, Senior Director at Amnesty International.

Cordone added: “Investigating whether or not his death was a war crime might be unpopular. However, the NTC (National Transitional Council) must apply the same standards to all, affording justice even to those who categorically denied it to others.”

A spokesman for the United Nations human rights office also called for an investigation on Friday, describing images of Gaddafi’s last moments as ‘very disturbing’. Libyan authorities previously said Gaddafi, who ruled the African country from 1969 until earlier this year, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Libya has been engulfed in a civil war since an uprising against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime began in mid-February, while pro-Gaddafi forces have been accused of violently cracking down on anti-government protesters. It led to UN Security Council Resolution 1973 which authorized member states to impose a no-fly zone over the North African country and to take ‘all necessary measures’ to protect civilians.

It is believed more than 25,000 people have been killed during the civil war.

That he was a bad man with man sins and wrongdoings on his conscience, most agree on. He should pay. Of course.

But even he as a criminal has rights and two wrongs don’t make a right.

Not even in Islam. Trial and conviction are integrated parts of Sharia so for people to sit back and support him being raped and killed by selfappointed vigilantes is just unislamic.

Because he raped and looted his people, does not mean the same should happen to him. He should be punished in court.

Those who did this to him are as bad as Gadaffi and have stooped to his level. So no difference.

he should have been bought before a Libyan court for his crimes. A penalty should have been meeted out, even if that be the death penalty and not random people raping and murdering him.

    That is not Islam.

This evil man got what he deserved,He orders his troops strongly to rape women in front of their families and kids can you believe that? not just rape but inserting wood pieces in to their sexual organs just for the sake of degradation and humiliation of his own people. 42 years of manipulating and steeling of Libya’s wealth along with his own dummy sons. We ready to cut him in pieces instead.Thank god we got rid of him.

God does not delight in the death of the wicked. Why should we?…..”

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways;for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” Ezekiel 33:10,11

Gaddafi was an evil man but the people who tortured him are no saints; they might be worst than we think he was. Now that they know they can take the law in their own hands lets’s see how long a democratically elected government will last if the ruthless mob disagree with the way they govern.

Dominicans never fail to amaze me. I find these images highly disturbing, I do not believe they should have treated the man in this manner no matter how horrible he was.. But we must not forget what Libyans endured under the hands of this dictator, he terrorized the people, he raped and murdered their fathers, brother, sons, daughters, uncles and aunts. It is terrible to watch what Gaddafi got in return, for his atrocities.. However, I cannot help wondering if these are not the same Dominicans, who are asking for the death penalty with prosecution for the armed robbers and rapists among them. Are you the same people who were calling for the death by hanging of the armed robbers? Why do you have so much sympathy for a man like Gaddafi yet you want to burn your own people alive for crimes which are much much less brutal than the atrocities this tyrant perpetuated against his people? What do you base you comments on people? Yes uniquely Dominican. They will sell their souls to the devil for alms!!!

You again spewing BS fed to you like sheep! SMH!! Didn’t you hear the ‘transitional leader’ announce today that Libya is going to be ruled under Sharia Law? The same Sharia Law practiced in Iran, that was practiced by the Taliban in Afghanistan, and in Saudi Arabia where women aren’t even allowed to drive??!!

The same Sharia Law that Gadhafi refused to implement, which made him an enemy of Al Qaeda, made him an enemy of the militant Islamists in Eastern Libya that NATO aided in overthrowing him! Under Gadhafi, women in Libya had the most rights in the Muslim world!!

Is that your idea of being a “liberated Libyan?” Sharia Law in case u don’t know is a THEOCRACY: gov’t controlled by religious leaders. IT IS NOT DEMOCRACY

      Your ignorance is shameful..

The problem is that people like Gadaffi caused this problem. If life was so good in Libya, why not let the people vote freely. Electricity free.. everything free.. why keep power to yourself. People will turn to anything when you they have no free will. Even to the devil himself. These dictators are psychologically affecting the people. Who wants to see one man in luxury give them what he thinks they need? We have to learn about humans- we will choose anything even if we have to fight it again simply to walk away from someone who controls. All Gaddafi had to do is given his “good deeds” allowed the people to vote for whether or not they wanted him to continue being their leader. I just do not understand why people like to hold on to power like that. it destroys not only you but all those under and around you.

I’ve been tryin to tell folks on here from Day 1 that these rebels are no good. Posted links to a rebel commander early in the war admitting that his fighters are Al Qaeda.

The US and other NATO countries knew it too, but they were so desperate to remove Gadhafi they sided with his enemies in a civil war.

The same type of people they’re fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, the same kind they’re currently bombing in Yemen, they aided them in the overthrow of Gadhafi.

NATO’s double standards and hypocrisy knows no bounds. Obama betrayed Africa.

    A few facts:
    – In the space of 10 years the US has used its global influence to remove, and subsequently occupy, three Middle Eastern countries.
    – Two of those three countries (Iraq and Libya) appear at the top of various ‘world oil reserves’ lists.
    – The former leaders of those countries were all eventually killed in brutal fashion, albeit at the hands of different parties.
    – The US continues to profit from the ‘wars’ they have waged with Middle Eastern countries through the supply of arms, security and re-building efforts.
    – With scant and questionable evidence, the US has (under the guise of NATO or Coalition Forces) entered these countries. In this most recent case, the balance of a civil war was tilted heavily in the favour of the rebels when NATO decided to supply them with arms. NATO also held regular air raids on known hideouts and compounds of the ruling dictatorship.

I disagree with this new version of “Manifest Destiny” employed by the US and its Western partners. This policy negates the sovereignty of its targets and completely undermines the concept global security. It has become glaringly obvious that oil is goal. The US has developed and maintained close relationships with some leaders of countries with large oil reserves (Saudi Arabia for example). On the other hand, the US has sought to destabilize the regimes of countries with wildcard dictatorial leaderships.

    This is sad.

Sheeple come in here and just talk about all the massacring, murder, torture that he implemented on his people all those years and I just don’t see it. I have been looking through the internet and I am just not seeing all the evidence of that. Are we just being spoon fed and we swallow it without thinking? Mind you, he was a dictator and I am not saying that he was a saint.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have read people’s comments on here and listened to them on Q95 and I am just complexed about the hearts of my fellow Dominicans. People were asking me to support ‘freedom’ fighters whose very first act, even before they over threw Gaddafi, was to start massacring all black Libyans that they could find. I am a black man, that is my people and you guys were asking me to support these al quaida cut throats? SMH!

Hey Ghadafi may not have been a good fella, but he gave his people 100% free health care, 100% free education, gov’t subsidized housing, farming, purchasing of a car, or education and healthcare overseas.

He built what many regard as the 8th wonder of the world, creating an underground river through the desert to create modern beautiful cities through out Libya. He did all this without borrowing any money from the IMF and the western financial institutions. He is the only leader that appologized for his country’s part in the slave trade. He funded Africa’s first independent communication satelite. He voluntarily gave up his WMD’s, rejected terrorism, gave compensation, and reached out to the west.

But just because that man decided to make Africa independent of the Euro and the Dollar, they took him out. Look at the scene surrounding this man’s capture and murder and you guys telling me to accept this he deserved it? Boy we must have well start bleating our way to the slaughter house.

In Libya it now have a puppet government whose first act was to reverse the country into islamic sharia law. We reap what we sow. Tomorrow our western gov’ts will be telling us how bad the current regime in Libya is and that we should make the sacrifices to go root them out.

I don’t condone violence but I’m not so naïve to pretend that I don’t understand retaliation. We have all done regrettable things when we are angry; I do understand the anger of some of these men who saw their families suffer and murdered at the behest of Gadaffi; the unleashing of the military on the civilians dropping bombs on gatherings of demonstrators; the torture of families who spoke out against the regime and much more; There is court justice, prison justice and street justice.
Justice is an illusion and truth is perception; That’s just the way it is – when the oppressed and underprivileged get a chance to dish out justice no one should expect justice to be served with the legal men. When the little people speak the aristocrats will never understand.

Ewo wrongs don’t make a right! An animal would not stoop that low. Whoever did this is no better than Gaddafi himself and needs to be punished, in public, if the new Libya is to have any credence

At least the world can see what was done to him before he was killed. Where were the cameras and the recordings when he tortured, brutalised, gassed, and shot his own people. No one ever saw these images.

I don’t agree with the piece of wood stuck up his “a Hole”, but in the heat of the moment, those rebels were moved to doing that man anything that came to their mind.

Don’t you think for one minute that the images that you ask for are not shown because they probably never existed and were only fed to us to justify the murderous war by the west, just as the ‘weapons of mass destruction’ that Saddam was supposed to have had in the hundreds, that people like you also gullibly accepted and believed???

To all the peole here who justifies all the crap that the western media feeds us and the crimes againts humanity which are being committed by the US and it allies. This tells the story. They want us to beiieve that Gadhafi was the greatest criminal who murdered his own people, but like the weapons of mass destruction, they never produced enough evidence to prove ,only dead bodies of people killed during a civil war where both sides were armed (with NATO bombs supporting one side of the civil war). Yet here is PLAIN evidence who is committing the crimes against humanity.

Just like Osama Bin Laden whom the US and allies trained to murder innocent Russians during the 80s and who turned the killing techniques back on them, so too will the murderous bunch of raggtagg bunch of NTC fighters in Lybia will turn their guns back on them. And this, all to robb the oiol and resources of a country. What a shame that many of us, decendants of millions of African slaves who were murdered and brutalized by these people, continue to support them in their wicked imperialist conquests. No wonder they continue to laugh at the black race and treat us like retards!!!

Good luck, by the way, getting that point across to most people. It’s too difficulty for them to believe, apparently, that the U.S. is more evil than most, if not all, foreign leaders. I mean, how magnanimous can a country be when it kills millions of its own unborn children every year? The U.S. does not hold the moral high ground.
