Visitors advised to stay away from Valley of Desolation

The Valley of Desolation

Assistant Forestry Officer Stephen Durand has advised all persons to stay away from the Valley of Desolation, following recent occurrences at Boiling Lake.

In an interview with DNO Durand stated two are closely linked and only officials from the Forestry Division and the Office of Disaster Management should visit those areas.

“If there are activities going on in the Boiling Lake area, then who knows what is going to happen in the Valley of Desolation as well? It is within the same area,” he stated.

He reinforced that visitors and locals alike should refrain from venturing into these areas until further notice.

Durand said that conditions of the Boiling Lake are concerning because there is no boiling activity, the water levels are low and gases emitting from the lake are very strong.

The Dominican authorities in collaboration with the Trinidad-based Seismic Research Center of the University of the West Indies, say they have been monitoring a situation at the Boiling Lake for the past few days in which water levels have been changing, a phenomenon that has occurred several times since 1876.

They have concluded that these occurrences do not necessarily coincide with increased volcanic activity; however the conditions do pose some threat to human contact.

Volcanoes are fake. What is in the VD and Soufriere are heat activity brought about from the dumping of chemical mining waste. Read, learn, educate :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiaD0f5MNGM

Fair warning… if people want to be BBQ or turn into soup, they can continue their normal behavior by going in the lake. Stupidity…

Boiling Lake, what gender do we call you, male or female?
We know you cannot speak to us, hear us and respond to us but God can in His own way and will, in His own time. He knows you are there, how beautiful you are and how much enjoyment visitors derive from watching you bubbling up the water.
We are elated that God granted you to us, to D/ca, for its benefit and the pleasurable benefit of other visitors who just love to stand mesmerized and view your beauty. They also wonder how you happen to be there. If you could talk you would reply: “God of course placed me there and more!” Throughout the years, we took you for granted but we love you and your presence as you also enhance our country.
D/cans as I who have not visited you are proud that you exist in our country. You are a beauty to behold and a mystery. We are proud to tell others who are not from our country about you. which gives them the urge and encouragement to visit D/ca and you.

All marvel you exist and also how you could. We simply state, only God knows and thank Him for your presence. We are aware that through the years you have dried up which was another phenomenon and concern but you returned to your previous self, bubbling hot water which also amazes visitors who wonder, how could this occur. We are wondering what is occurring below and excited to know this mystery in itself.
Those as I who have not yet visited your environment also purchase the postcards with your beautiful picture on it and proudly show it to others. If we do not have a card on hand, we proudly inform them about you.
For all these reasons. we ask you to remain among us as you were previously. Please return to your normal self and function; namely, boiling water and bubbling up for also our peace of mind.
This is a pleading to Our God. By instinct.

Valley of Desolation is exactly what it is. Beautiful to visit, to see and happy to say, “I visited there.” And yes, they conquered the challenging trip to get there. However, I will never go there unless the road is motor able. Chicken you say? Yes!
I have seen pictures of those who visited there. I always said to them, “You all are brave! Not me!”
Dominica is gifted with the Boiling Lake. It is out of this world; not man-made. This Lake has been the same size and always stagnant, doing its thing, boiling up and bothering no one. It is a great tourist attraction, a place to visit by other visitors, local and non-locals.
At this time, since the water is cold rather than hot, it really is a cause for concern. I hope whatever is causing this phenomenon, this change below which appears to refuse to boil the water and make it hot, will fall asleep for good. :)
Please give us back our Boiling Lake with hot water! Thank you!

Something big is coming nature is talking. But skiroo not listening

    • November 21, 2016

      Yes :!:

      Something big IS coming :!:

There are signs in the heavens above and on the earth beneath.

It must be the breaking of the day!

      The signs are everywhere.

Jesus is coming to take to be forever with himself all who have received HIM as their personal Savior according to John 1:12 and Revelation 3:20. Have you read about this event in 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 :?:
Are you ready to meet Him :?: Or will you be left behind :?:

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21)

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

    Nothing creates fear like ignorance.

When we don’t know the cause for something it is easy to assume nobody does. This opens a window to speculation. If there is no known natural cause people imagine it may be other worldly. They ponder the continual crime, rampant immorality, and frequent natural calamities and wonder if a portal has been opened to the other side.

Before you declare me fit for the funny farm let me tell you that there are scientists who study this type of thing. They are called parapsychologists. They tell us “portals” are believed to exist and evil in its different forms may be coming through.

We need to pray for a revival of true New Testament Christianity and a spiritual renewal in our day. God is able to protect His own! If you are a Christian I encourage you to read Ephesians 6:11-18, and meditate on these verses.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

Seismologists, forestry officers and politicians are not volcanologists or geologists. It’s time for some real expertise to assess the situation.

In light of the interest in the activities at the boiling lake in recent days,it’s a good time to examine the country’s readiness and emergency plans in case of a disaster from an eruption.Whatever plans there are should be looked at and revised ,also plans should be put in place for simulation activities. The public must also be made aware of what the instructions are and what is expected of them in the event of an eruption, considering that Dominica has active volcanoes.Escapt routes should be clearly Identified and marked as well as gathering places etc.

Thank you for your words of wisdom :!:

This is a matter of interest not only to the citizen of Dominica, but also to those who have loved ones living on the island, tourists, and casual visitors.

Thank God somebody is thinking ahead. Readiness should be a top priority at a time like this. Be prepared! And let the public know what provisions and plans are in place. Everything from shelters, food supplies, and escape routes should be considered. Let the first responders be kept informed and in a state of constant readiness.

Many will say I am an alarmist. I don’t intend to be. But the problem is simply this. You don’t know what you are dealing with. Better safe than sorry.

      Blessing to all.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.
