Dominica Bar Association remembers late former President Dr. Liverpool

Dr. Liverpool served as the sixth President of Dominica

The Executive and Members of the Dominica Bar Association record with profound sadness the passing of His Excellency, retired Justice of Appeal, Dr. Nicholas J.O. Liverpool DAH, O.C. C.

Dr. Liverpool was a brilliant scholar epitomized by his attainment of the highest level in academia. A distinguished legal luminary whose career spanned over five decades, Dr. Liverpool exhibited a keen mind and an outstanding understanding for, and the application of the Law. He served with distinction at the Bar and on the Bench locally, regionally and internationally. Dr. Liverpool also served at the University of the West Indies Faculty of Law as Lecturer and Dean where he helped to mold young minds.

Dr. Liverpool was soft spoken, humble, of calm disposition and yet assertive and brought clarity and quick resolution to matters referred to him. Young counsel found it easy to approach him and to obtain the pearls of wisdom which he dispensed with alacrity.

Dr. Liverpool gave tremendous support to the Dominica Bar Association and was honoured by the Association during its first Law Week in 2014 for his sterling contribution to the Association.

Dominica has lost an eminent son of the soil. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Verna, his children and the other members of his family. He will be missed. May God grant him eternal rest.

The 6th president never molded Easydoor. lol The one skerrit blamed for his non payment oon the land transfer. he went on to bigger things. Dec 2010 he was not arrested got protection from the arm forces.
the 6th said nothing. A Christmas gift from Medard no arrest 4 the EZ- door.
Was the 6th really serve amist the controvercy? Was this sharping /molding justice novices? he sent the wrong message. hence cannot be classified . Dr. Liverpool also served at the University of the West Indies Faculty of Law as Lecturer and Dean where he helped to mold young minds?

He was well-educated and an intellectual who took his responsibilities seriously and executed them in an admirable manner.
Well done! As others who paid tribute to him stated, he will be remembered and missed. Indeed!
I will not divulge who I am. :) I remember he and his dear wife, Verna attended my mother’s funeral and then my father’s. He is known to my family especially my older brothers and sisters. They, no doubt as I, are deeply saddened at his passing.
If only we could keep all loving people, well-educated and intellectual ones as he on earth to continue their good works in whatever manner. God knows the world, especially D/ca need them. It is not for us to decide. We pass through this world but once. . .
He has done his utmost with the allotted time God gave him. We can say he kept extremely busy and did not waste his time. This is good enough.
Our God said, “You have studied and worked hard. Now for your eternal rest.” Rest in God’s peace!

How comes one has not heard from the Leader of the opposition extending his condolences to the late President of Dominica on his passing? Is it that he(the opposition Leader) does not know or heard of Dr. Liverpools death? Or is there more to it?

Ya right so did he mold Medards mind when he did nothing whist being the 6th PRESIDENT and Medard blamed the wrong doings of not paying on his transfer of his land deal from Money God as per Matt in the morning’s article?

Dr. Liverpool was soft spoken, sometimes MooMoo humble, of calm disposition and yet assertive and brought to much clarity and quick resolution to matters referred to him. Young counsel found it easy to approach him and to obtain the pearls of wisdom which he dispensed with alacrity. Medard did or did not? Good thing MEDARD was not a young counsel
