I am deeply moved and Proud of our own a Dominican People, God blessing
God blessing to her parent, it was not easy but God brought her through it all . and to all Dominica Its a Star added.
Its a joy when I read about what we Dominican can do. and can do.
So DNO what is wrong with my comment. All I want to know is how comes that is news. Its not like the young lady graduated with honours. So many Dominica’s we have graduating from so many institutions they not making news, what is special about this one. So because am not saying congratulations my comment cannot be posted. Post my comment.
We agree that DNO would be wise to post all comments, even from those who are not supportive or ignorant, as long as they meet the published criteria.
Two points:
1. Charlotte actually did graduate with “Distinction in Medical Education.” We just wanted to keep the article brief and on-point, so did not include this in our release to DNO.
2. As Charlotte’s parents, it’s a given that we think our daughter is special, but we also believe that you, Dominica, and ALL people are tremendously gifted. Thousands of Dominicans are doing exemplary things daily which should be recognized. Perhaps more of us need to let DNO know of good news.
Thanks to ALL who have commented, whether they be supportive or questioning why this is news.
ADMIN: We publish anything that puts Dominicans in a “good light,” whether it is big or small. As long as we get the info, we publish. We always celebrate the achievements of Dominicans, no matter how big or how small.
Congrats young lady to you and your family, proud moments. I always remember Ms. Drigo as my first grade teacher and Mr. Gamble teaching us all the favorite little songs.
Congratulations to you and your family and tell the hater out there they need to go back to school to learn to read and write so that they could get recognition. Proud of u and the family and nice seeing your grandmother proud of her to God bless u all
what a victory! Congratulations to the Mother and father who stood beside her. That is truly an example. To Miss Gamble, thanks for showing us that hard work pays off. congratulations.
Man I haven’t seen Gamble since the days at PSS. We had a good time back then with Gamble and Upperguard. Those were the days
Congrats much, much, Charlotte. I guess the days of you pleasuring our ears with your melodious rendition of “God Sufficeth” are behind us now. Sigh!
May His Blessings continue to be with you and yours always.
M.
Why that is news nor. So many Dominicans we have becoming doctors from Cuba, Al Saints, even Ross and elsewhere, earning multiple degrees in various fields. What is so special about that one. Stuppppssss..
Stop hating and possibly jealousy. The fam most likely sent the good news to dno and it made news so why be a hater. I dislike stupid people that are enemies of the progress of others in the limelight. Get a life.
Way to go charlotte. I am so proud of you and your hard work. My family and I are so proud of you. May God bless you through your journey in life and career. PS sorry I wasn’t able to make the ceremony and family gathering. Your cousin. We LOVE you. I also speak for my mom your aunt

Hmmm…do you even have a high school diploma? I am ALWAYS proud to see our Dominican youths doing well. I guess you would prefer that she was caught selling drugs or killed someone and that would be NEWS. You are a jack-a.

CINDY it is good 2 see u. congratulations 2 Prico & Allan. Job well done
I would not waste time to explain to those dumb …CONGRATS TO THE DRIGO FAMILY
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
Hard work pays.
The ones who are saying that this achievements should not be posted are crazy, ignorant and jealousy as they do not know the hard work and knowledge base that it takes to be accepted into medical school and to succeed and graduate.
As i say before they always give praise to strangers while they prefer to throw diminicans under the bus.
Congratulations my dear, I may not know u but am a proud dominican and i am indeed happy for u. U make us proud.
She very bright and a hard working woman but this is not news .
Congratulations to you. Congratulation to Mr. Allan Gamble my music teacher and Athletic Coach at the Portsmouth Secondary School. You all are great.

Impressive!!!!!!!!! Congratulations
Congrats Doctor!
Congratulation to you and the Drigo family. You made us de la rosin people proud. All the best.
this is not news, one year to do a masters. if its a PHD, fine. So many thousand get masters. Stop posting these non news items
Stop being so IGNORANT!!!!!!!!!! It was posted because it is an accomplishment to her and her family including Dominica….. I cannot understand why Dominicans cannot just accept positive things….
That must be a workers supporter. They never like to hear good news about Dominica. If it was a sad story about Dominica, then they would be estatic.
If not read carefully, one could be confused. A Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree usually takes two years. Charlotte completed this program at Harvard between her 3rd and 4th years of medical school, and the picture shown with our flag is at THAT graduation last year (May 2013).
Last week 16 May 2014) Charlotte graduated with her MD degree from Michigan. Thanks to DNO for posting.
we cant blame stupid ignorant uneducated people who cant read and understand. smh
congratulations to you young lady and enjoy your many accomplishments.
Congrats to you all Mr Gamble. Your daughter is a great achiever, so proud of her. Please disregard those negative comments, since they come from those who don’t know better.
You are a real MORAN. ..what do you mean that this is not news.. Bloggers like you make me wonder if you are really from our beloved Nature Isle.. And if you are from there I suspect that you are one of the JEALOUS ones who haven’t accomplish anything in life.. Get a life..Your MORAN..
Md is a doctor!!!
Eat your heart out!!!!!!!!
You`re sad and lonely soul. Eat your mouse. Misery likes company. It is obvious you have Your P.H.D. in assiology. Go use the toilet.
But if your daughter or son got 8 ones for cxc you would be so EXCITED if their picture gets printed in the Chronicle Newspaper right? #EnviousMuch? By the way.. Do u have a masters degree?
I smell jealous…..
Like how many born and raised Dominicans graduate from med and law school each year? Like come on man!! Congratulations but!!!!! That ain’t need to be up there…
What you all rather doom and gloom every day? congrats young lady your family tree was always well educated people Ted wah go long time.
Really!!!, what does your diploma say on it? Stop being jealous and do something positive. When I got my masters degree it was not posted and I am not looking for recognition.
Congratulations to Charlotte and the Drigo family. You make Portsmouth and Dominica proud. Mrs. Drigo, its so good to see you. Blessings
Great to hear of Dominicans succeeding wherever they go. Congrats to you and your family.
…You spoke for a whole lot of us…thanks..
CONGRATULATIONS to you young lady!!! All the long study hours and lack of sleep has finally paid off. And it’s so sweet to pose with our flag..Blessing as you continue on to your residency..
