Dominican priest, Fr. Elton Letang, has been appointed Parish Priest at St. Theresa’s Parish, Malick, Barataria in Trinidad.

This is the first major assignment for Fr. Letang, who was ordained a priest three years ago.

A letter from Most Reverend Joseph E. Harris, Archbishop of Port of Spain said the assignment took effect on June 1, 2016.

“As you continue your ministry in the Archdiocese, please be assured of my prayerful support,” the Archbishop wrote.

About a year ago, Fr. Letang was named superior of the community of the Redemptorists, the order of priests he belongs to, in Trinidad.

From the community of Giraudel, he was ordained a priest on June 3, 2013.

On that note what is being done about the other allegations made about the priests ? When it was Father Reggie they were quick to act . Now they are silent! Don’t worry we Dominicans that are 100 percsnt Dominicans are waiting and watching for something to be done. The whole Parish is fed up with that so called priest. It’s time to take off the robe. His behaviour is not one of a priest. Get him out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is that image/idol on his clothing?

    • well well
      June 28, 2016

It is not an idol but a symbol of the Blessed Virgin Mary carrying Jesus as a baby.

      • CAPTCHA still?
        June 28, 2016

        The baby Jesus wasn\’t white.

So who is the focus on in the symbol; Jesus or Ave’ Maria?

      • @well well June 28, 2016

As you say it is not an idol your follow with it is symbol of the blessed Virgin Mary etcetera–symbol or not, it is still idol worshiping –something made of hands.

        @CAPTCHA still? June 28, 2016

You are right; Jesus wasn\’t a white man because His mother was a Jew. The apostle said about Jesus: \”He came to His own and His own did not receive Him\” Jesus\’ own were the people Israel, who were Jews.

So then a Jew is a Jew and a white person is a white person–but this has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

Either you are being sarcastic or you have never entered the Roman Catholic Church house–but whatever the case, your are right, that is an idol–part of the religious precepts of the Roman Catholic Church.
