Retired Archbishop of Castries, Dominica-born Kelvin Felix, was among 19 new cardinals who were inducted into the elite Roman Catholic group during a ceremony at the Vatican on Saturday.

Cardinals are senior Catholic clergymen below the pope.

He is the first from the English speaking Caribbean to be named a Cardinal.

Felix received the traditional red hat and robes at a ceremony, known as a consistory, the first for Pope Francis.

The reason for red is to symbolize the wearers’ willingness to give their lives for the Catholic faith.

The ceremony, held at St. Peter’s Basilica, was conducted in Latin and followed ancient tradition.

The Pope urged the new cardinals to serve the Church fearlessly.

“The Church needs your courage, to proclaim the Gospel at all times, both in season and out of season, and to bear witness to the truth,” he said.

Reflecting on the scripture read during the ceremony, Francis said, “Jesus is often walking and he teaches his disciples along the way. This is important. Jesus did not come to teach a philosophy, an ideology… but rather ‘a way,’ a journey to be undertaken with him.”

“But this is not easy, or comfortable, because the way that Jesus chooses is the way of the Cross,” the pope pointed out.

He warned the new cardinals about giving in to the “worldly mentality” of fear, which he said results in “rivalry, jealousy, factions.”

“Brothers, let us allow Jesus to call us to himself!” the pontiff urged.Archbishop

There are now 218 total living cardinals of which 122 are under 80 years of age and thus eligible to vote in a conclave for a pope.

Since Archbishop Felix is above 80 he is not eligible to vote.

Below is a letter from the pope informing Felix of his appointment to the college of cardinals.

Dear Brother,

On this the day on which your designation to take part in the College of Cardinals is made public, I would like to send you my warm greeting as well as the assurance of my closeness and of my prayer. I hope that, as a member of the Church of Rome, “clothed in the virtue and sentiments of the Lord Jesus (cf. Rom 13:14), you may help me with fraternal efficacy in my service to the Universal Church.

The Cardinalate does not signify a promotion, an honour nor a decoration: it is simply a service that demands a broader vision and a bigger heart. And, although it seems a paradox, this ability to look further and love more universally with greater intensity can be acquired only by following the way of the Lord: the way of lowliness and of humility, taking the form of a servant (cf. Phil 2:5-8). Therefore, I ask you, please, to receive this appointment with a simple and humble heart. And, while you ought to do this with gladness and joy, do so in a way that this sentiment is far from any kind of expression of worldliness, from any celebration alien to the evangelical spirit of austerity, moderation and poverty.

We will see each other, then, on 20 February, when we will begin two days of reflection on the family. I am at your service and, please I ask you to pray, and ask for your prayers for me.

May Jesus bless you and may the Holy Virgin protect you.

Fraternally,

From the Vatican, 12 January 2014

Francis

Many will remember him when he took over from the Christian Brothers in more troubled times as head of St. Mary’s Academy.. Even then as a young student I thought he was meant for greater things. Father Felix as he was then known. A humble man that shaped many lives.

Leaders of religion love big names and titles.Just to name a few.
Pope,Most Holy Father,His Grace,Cardinal,Archbishop,Cardinal,Monsignor,Reverend and the wives of the Pastors are called First Lady. When you bring these fancy names and titles before the word of God,(The Bible)
We will see that they are just man-made.
Take this one for an example, Peter is called the first Pope.Where in the bible did Jesus Christ made him (Peter) or called him Pope.? It never happened.Jesus made him an apostle Luke 6:13-14,and Peter called himself an apostle of Christ 1 Peter 1:1. Also in the last chapter he called himself an Elder 5:1.
It is so wonderful to know that you are SAVED by God’s matchless grace,You are on your way to this place called HEAVEN.When you can sing from your heart.
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way
    When sorrows like sea-bellows, roll;
Whatever my lot, thou has taught me to say
It is well,it is well with my soul

It is well with my soul,
It is well,it is well with my soul.

If we turn our eyes upon Jesus Christ, there will be no need to glory in things that really `don’t matter.

Oh God! please help my people

John-Charles, for that reason I , do not usually call people anything besides the name their parent gave to them.

Let us focus on Jesus Christ; what I am going to say here is not Verbatim to scriptures but I believe and angel said to the Virgin Mary, she will have a child, and she should name him Jesus. Then again God Jehovia, himself said to Israel, “by my name Jehovah you do not know me.

My argument here is simple this, Jesus the Son of Jehovia God, attached no tittles to his name nor his father, yet these so called preaches, insists that people call them by their title, which seems to be more important to them than the word of God, and serving the people.

In the book of Matthew, it written: Call no man father, for one is your father which is in heaven, even Christ, neither should any preacher be called teacher, Rabbi, however, preachers are servants of the people, again what I am saying here is not verbatim to the way it is written in Matthew 23, but one can read the Bible for themselves and learn it from the word of God.

In one of the Psalms the Bible also teaches that only he is Reverent, and no need to say Jesus Christ is the only Reverend.

Now I read where someone commented about some letter from Francis, talking how humble he is; yea, I suppose it is because he is so humble why in his country when he worked as a priest he was involved into crimes such as abducting his subordinates ( priest working under him. All of that can be verified, though he escaped jail.

God said “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, he also said the goodness of man is like filthy rags in his sight.

Plenty of those of all the big titles will follow the recipients straight into hell fire!

When I wrier the word pope in common case letters, I do it deliberately, as a disregard to the bearer of the title. If and when I write my surname as such (telemaque) it is an indication that I am ashamed of someone because of their stupidly or some other thing they are involved in, and that was taught tome a very long time when I took an English class.

Here is where you are wrong, hence contradicting your own thoughts about Life in Jesus Christ.

If you were “Spiritually sensitive” –and here I am referring to your awareness of God in your existence–(to know Him and His Ways of Life) as you would like people to believe, you would know that no one can cause another person to be who he or she is in attitude and conducts.

That is because the production takes place on the grounds of the mind–As a man thinks in his heart so is he: Says Wise old King Solomon at Proverbs 23:7

God has given man the ability of “free will” by that ability he makes the choice of his existence in this world–whatever that choice might be; be it for the glory of His creator or for the glory of his god in this world.

It is the same with those men who choose to join the priesthood–knowing the rules of the Catholic Church–they made that choice on their own–the Pope did not force them into that choice.

When Jesus talked to His disciples about marriage, divorce, and adultery, they concluded by saying to Him at Matthew 19:

      (10) His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” (11) But He (Jesus) said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: (12) For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake; He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

Born that way means–the man was born to live the Life of celibacy: made eunuchs by men meaning physical surgery like castration; Eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs–meaning to die to the passions of the flesh by faith;–that is to live a Life of celibacy–for the sake of their desire to glorify God and His Heavenly Kingdom

Jesus is saying in the last line above if a man is able to live without a wife–without sexual conducts, he has the right to do so.

The apostle Paul gave the same advise to the people of Corinth, as he tells them: “I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that. 1st Corinthians 7: 7

Paul lived the Life of celibacy, but notice above that he said it is his gift from God–not all men are given that gift. The 144 thousand men, who will be chosen from the Church–with both Christians and Jews, God’s chosen people–those men will not be defiled by women. This means they will have lived a celibate Life Rev. 14

That should be the reason a man decides to enter the priesthood–otherwise he was not prepared in his heart–meaning to die to the passion and lust of the flesh –no one is to blame for what he does with his body–it is his choice.

Elizabeth, I know you are the most educated little twelve year old teach who ever lived, but you need to realize that many of us are not educated at the same level, the type of education you you obtained is far different to mine.

I have a reason for not writing the first letter in pope for a reason, I can teach you lessons Elizabeth, that con confound you, things you could not have learnt in the elementary school where you were educated okay, rather than trying to bring that up here how, you did not question me about it private yesterday, or Saturday when you were arguing with me?

There is a time and place for everything Liz, always remember for one to become an Electronic Engineer, you have to go through plenty of academics you see, it takes plenty of schooling to accomplish that, in addition to been a Health Science Major, such call four a sound education, in addition to ones gifted abilities!

Francisco, this discussion belong to the public audience–you responded to the news article publicly; you did not write it to me privately–why should I do so to you?

“I can teach you lessons Elizabeth, that con confound you, things you could not have learnt in the elementary school”–Francisco Telemaque

Don’t hold your breath on that one, if you are comparing what you have learned–against others who have an education–with the teachings of Elementary School.

For even my old daddy would knock you down at the first round of the fight, much more for his little girl, here –with a brain that is as quick as a mouse and a well disciplined and sanctified mind, full of the wisdom, understanding, and insight of Holy Spirit.

So let us skip the elementary thing and to straight to the things of College and University okay. I will even bypass High school. By the way why did focus on the simple word pope, which you spelled pops–that is not the reason for my response to your comment

About you Electronic blah, blah, blah–you needed to have a profession, so you studied electronics–that did not make you the Lord of Education and Learning–you are putting that truth on display through your writings all the time .

And stop with your thing about “Health Science Major”–for all I know you could be talking about some learning from a “biology” book or a book of “hygiene” the teachings about cleanliness and healthiness –most of us have done that.

I wished that I were present in Rome to personally witness it. No doubt, His Eminence Cardinal Kelvin Felix was moved at being inducted into the College of Cardinals. This is a holy honor. I visualize how he wished his parents were there to witness it. It is my feeling they witnessed it from on high above as they also prayed for him. His brother, a sister and a few other relatives went to Rome for this holy celebration.

It seems like yesterday he retired. How those years fly. We hope he will find the time from his busy schedule to visit us here in Ontario where a celebration will be planned for him.
All of us Dominicans and St. Lucians have reason to be elated, proud of him and jubilant of his new Church title, one of the Hierarchies of the Catholic Church under the authority of Holy Father Pope Francis I who is the Head, the Leader of the Catholic Church.

Your Eminence Kelvin Felix, God’s blessing be upon you coupled with additional health and strength. We are looking forwarding, hopefully to seeing you soon and to also receive your blessing.

From one who has known your family, yourself from youth. All members of my family throughout the world send holy greetings to you. We are extremely happy for you.

We have to get accustomed to calling you “His/Your Eminence…” No more Archbishop. :) However, hope you will forgive all those who temporarily forget and call you by your former Church title. With your humility you will overlook it. We will, in time, get accustomed. :)

My comments may appear negative to you because I have the courage not to accept the crap that many of you accept I have no tolerance which appears to be fabricated to suite a certain purpose.

In this case, let me reiterate, nothing that has taken place in Rome, and the men in Red, has nothing tod with God Almighty, they are into rituals formulated by man, to bestow man’s glory upon men, God has nothing to do with that.

Now the Bible do speak of Priest, which were all from the tribe of Levi, they had no inheritance, and lived by serving the people. I cannot get into it here, but if you wish to release your self from the burden and bondage under which the Roman Catholic Church have you can read the Books:

      .Exodus
      .Leviticus
      .Numbers
      .Deuteronomy

And also the book of Joshua, all found in the Old Testament; whatever I say about the Roman Catholic Church and their rituals, I have the Bible to back me up, I do not make things up, I did what the Bible taught me to do, and that is:

” Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”(2Timothy 2:15, 16).

That is written in 2 Timothy 2:15, 16. you can say I am negative as you wish , I do not follow the doctrines and teachings and philosophy of man; I try to follow God written word. What God said in his word is more is more important than any words repeat by any priest, bishop, or pope!

And whereas the word ,and God is on my side I could care less about how anybody feels about me. The words of God counts, and matters, yours are irrelevant!

“The reason for red is to symbolise the wearer’s willingness to give their lives for the Catholic faith” (Francis).

My question is what is Catholic faith? I believe one should be prepared to forfeit their life’s for the word of and truth of Jesus, and his father Jehovah, as Peter, and John the Baptists suffered that fate. They did not die for the Roman Catholic Church, nor did Jesus suffer, and die on the cross for the philosophy of any religious zealots!, and any organization!

I noted Francis said; “the church needs your courage, to proclaim the gospel, both in season, and out of season.” One would have to get paid to be confused understanding what he means, since to me where it pertains to the word of God, and the worshiping of God, never goes in and out of season.

For we are advised by the word of God, to pray without easing, and by way ” pray without ceasing” does not mean one commence praying and never stop. It means one should pray to God as often as we wish, since our dependency is on him, and mind you that is in reference to those of us who are believers in God, and has accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior!

The rhetoric of Francis, has become even more hypocritical and confusing as he states. “Jesus did not come to teach a philosophy, nor an ideology.”

I suspect he is advising his tropes in red, to preach the word of God, not a philosophy of man, nevertheless, if and when we study the doctrines of Roman Catholicism, we find plenty of philosophy of man been taught which has nothing to do with God and his inspired word!

Because you see; God Jehovah, the father of Jesus, nor Jesus Christ himself never told his disciples, nor anyone who followed, and listened to him to pray to Saints; who are living people, and dead, nor his mother Mary, so too, there is no place in the word of God where the word rosary is found, so what we are left with is a religion that exists, based on some philosophy of man, which are all those who has head the Roman Catholic Church, past and present, and calls themselves “pope.”

We have another situation where these pops philosophy has cause many so called priest not to marry to women, thus cause many of them to become homosexuals, and who’s homosexuality has caused them to prey, and wreck havoc on young boys, some of them who are supposed to be syllabus has have children all over the place, how does the church justify that when St. Peter whom the Church likes to quote so often, and one who was a disciple of Jesus, walked and eat with Jesus was a married man with a wife, and I suspect children!

    Very intriguing is it not?

Telemaque, the truth must be told. 2000 years ago Our Lord Jesus Christ established His Church, namely The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Our Lord left us One Church; not thousands of different churches.
The night before He was betrayed, He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane that all might be one. After the Catholic Church was established, some people decided to form their own church beginning with Luther and Henry VIII of all. Those different/separate religions now number over 100,000 with probably more to come prior to the end of the world. Oh my! What a mess, confusion of religion, division and disunity.
It was not Our Lord’s intention that there would be so many different religions/churches which cause divisions, disunity, lack of love and peace. Our Lord must be extremely sad about this.
Know that those with different minds and adverse opinions, may never obtain eternal salvation. For Christians should know, “We will not go to Heaven on our terms and feelings but solely on Our Lord Jesus Christ’s terms.” Too many of you are negative and misinformed and not willing to accept the truth. This is a mark of disobedience. Keep this in mind.
It eats those hearts out whenever the Catholic Church, its devotions and practices are mentioned. You should know that the Catholic Church ranks first and supreme above all other religions of the world because Our Lord Jesus Christ established it and as He said: “…I am with you even unto the consummation of the world…”
Know about the history of those churches, how they were formed and why. They are extremely displeasing to Our Almighty Father, Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ and His Most Holy Spirit – The Blessed Trinity. The day will come when all will be revealed to you and people as you.

What I further have to state pertaining to your comments, as was stated and “is still in season” until the day we die:

For those who believe and understand, no explanation is necessary.

For those who do not believe and do not understand (and refuse to), no explanation is possible.

God knows your heart. Pray to God for enlightenment with a loving, pure and humble heart. If he so wishes He will reveal the truth to you even while you are alive and more revelation to come when you die. May God bless and grace you with truth and wisdom.

“The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Our Lord left us One Church; not thousands of different churches”(StT).

You have to be kidding, no such thing.

I agree that when some people a certain prayer they say ” I believe in the holy ghost, and the holy Catholic Church, even at that love they are not referring to the Roman Catholic Church, since the word Catholic, implies the foundation of Churches, but has nothing, absolutely to do with the Roman Catholic church.

And I can prove that to you, I just do not have the time, but do not fool yourself as far as the word of God is concern it has nothing to do with names domination. If you go through the entire New Testament, you will never find names such Catholic, Methodist, Adventists, Anglican, or other, however, if a church came into reference, you will read where it may say “the Church in Antioch or some other place.

And let me clarify that. if there was a church in Canada, one in America, one in Dominica, and a mother in Montserrat, and Paul was travailing to anybody those destination to visit the church, he would probably say I will be visiting the Church in Canada soon.

And mind the word Church simply means a body (amount) of people; like “where tow or there are gathered in my name I am in the midst of them.”

Now when I went to go to Roman Catholic Church as a id, I was thought that the Roman Catholic was the first church, and peter was the first pope, that is a lie, just because Jesus said to Peter upon this rock I will build my Church, the Roman Catholic come up this nonsense, far from the truth, all lies, and I can prove they lie, the Word of God.

Ponder on that for a moment, it thus saith the Lord!

      • February 24, 2014

Francisco I agree with most the things you wrote above against the “understanding of the Church” as spoken by that other blogger.

You are right as well–you need to read over what you write before you post. Even if I read two or three times before I still find an error after I have posted–Good heavens!

That certain prayer that you talked about is known as the “Apostle’s Creed”. That is still not a prayer because when it comes to praying we need to speak to God, the Lord, the Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ, from our heart–not something that was put in the memory compartment of our brain.

Again you are referring to the Scripture at Act 11:26 which says: “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch”.

And so a Christian is better known by his and her work of Love in society, because that what Jesus did when He walked this earth–the denominational concept of the Churches is the reason we have so much of the works of religion among us–but God wants nothing to do with religion.

When Jesus said to Peter: ” On this rock I will build My church” at Matthew 16:18, Jesus was not speaking about the human Peter, He was speaking about Peter’s faith, the tool by which He proclaimed that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

And so the Church of Jesus Christ must be built by faith not of the works or religion–For by the Grace of God Almighty a person is saved by faith, not of works–such as that of religion–lest any man should boast.

In the Book of Revelation, which tells what is to happen at the second coming of Jesus Christ, the apostle John speaks of 7 Churches–there is no such name as the “Roman Catholic Church”

      • February 25, 2014

The Church was not yet established when Jesus was ascended into heaven–because He spent only days here after His resurrection.

And so it is not true to say that Jesus left “one Church”, when He left this earth, for the disciples did not know anything about Holy Spirit, by whose Power Jesus would build His Church through them.

God had made a New Covenant with His chosen people, when He said at Jeremiah 31: 33-34

“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord”.

By His suffering, death, and resurrection, faith in Jesus. the Son, would be the “instrument” by which God Almighty, Eternal Spirit Christ, would deliver that covenant to His people–who are both Jews and Christians today–because they have accepted the Son of God Almighty–the Father, in Jesus Christ.

Jesus send the “Supernatural Influence”, of Him and the Father, to reign on His disciples, who were only 120 in number, they were waiting for the Promise of the Father from Jesus Christ, as He had commanded them to wait–they were in an upper room, praying and waiting.

That “Supernatural Influence” is known today as Holy Spirit–we should know that another term for “influence” is “spirit”. Holy Spirit connected Himself to Jesus’ disciples 10 days after Jesus’ ascension–fifty days after His resurrection.

On the Day of Pentecost, along with the 120 disciples of Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit connected to 3000 people–Jews and Gentiles– hence the Church was born through 3120 believers–but that happened after Peter preached the Gospel to those people.

The Church continued to grow, but the last figure recorded in the Bible is 5000. From that day onwards and up until today, Jesus is building His Church through the works of His disciples and those disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. Act 11:26

Today the Church of Jesus Christ is scattered all over the world–regardless of the Denominational identity. In fact that denominational thing is the reason for the practice of religion in the Churches–we would be doomed if God was not full of mercy and compassion in Love.

Nonetheless, let it be known that no one belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ if they have not yet encounter the “new birth” which starts with “indwelling” or “connection” to God Almighty by the Power of Holy Spirit.

For Paul tells us at Ephesians 5: 25-27
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish”

The Church of Jesus Christ is One great Body–not one great group–He is the head. For there is no one group of people–of the same church house in this world– who are filled with Holy Spirit.

Therefore as the Church of Jesus Christ we are scattered all through the different groups–just as ancient Israel was scattered in Babylon until God to brought them back together in their homeland of Israel.

Jesus will gather His Church at the appointed time as it is said at Matthew 25: 32 “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats” Don’t anyone dare to be among the goats eh! Good Heavens!

Francisco, I would commend your sentiment here, but I know that you are not genuine to your words, in that you do not live those words; but that is what Jesus wants us to do, when He said to Pilate, for example: “I am a King, but My Kingdome is not of this world”

Through that saying, of His, Jesus wants us, who are His disciples–better known as Christians–to remember that though we live in this world we should not belong to it.

Jesus has called us, who have claimed to belong to Him, to walk in the Spirit of Light, doing the things of Love, which are the attitude and conducts production of the mind which is being sanctified by the Power of Holy Spirit.

You simply love contention–but what good is that doing for you except to keep your mind in that negative stance, which you continue to demonstrate through your words, whatever you write or speak about.

Intriguing? What is amazing is that on such a momentous occasion for us as Dominicans to have one of our own be called to serve his fellowmen and women, that you choose this opportunity to write such negative remarks. Yes, there are seasons – a time to laugh and a time to cry; a time for weeping and a time for rejoicing.
Let us rejoice for our little island home has produced some men and women who have devoted their lives to serving God, and one of them is being called to another area of service. This is a season of rejoicing and we rebuke those who wish to rob us of our joy.

      • Francisco Telemaque
        February 24, 2014

Well, you see the bible teaches: “Be ye in the world, but not of the world.” That may mean something to you and Roman Catholicism flowers in Dominica, however, to people like me who believes in Jesus, and the word of God, such mambo jamboree means nothing.

One can be happy about something, while that something is taking them straight into hell fire you know.

If what is happening is not ordained by God, even if my dead mother and father came back alive, and told me I must appreciate, and indulge into it, it is good I would ask them to prove to me with thus said the Lord that such ritual is approve by God.

If they could prove that to me, then I would even kneel to the Dominican. Let me ask you something. How many times have many of you Dominicans bow on your knees and kiss some ring Felix warres on his hand (finger) when he performs some sort of rituals?

Quote one part of scripture from which Jesus Christ had anyone bow to him and had them kiss a ring, on his finger, or where he instructs his disciples to have people bow; kneel to them and have them kiss a ring!

All of that is Roman Catholic ideology, and philosophy; and has nothing to d with the worship of God Almighty; even if my son was crown bishop, or pope, as long as he taught Roman Catholic doctrine,I would have no part of it!

If the doctrine is not of God, it must be of satan the devil.

But Francisco, you truly are an expert at everything. But you forgot to mention that even some who has gone away from the catholic church, gotten married and have their own families prey on the innocent women who come to them.

Telemaque, the faith, the church is the vehicle, the vehicle must be services and that vehicle to take you there. The message is always that of Christ and God and the gospels.
You have a message to deliver from Roseau to Marigot, how do you get to Marigot Telemaque? Well you need a working vehicle, one you can trust and you hope and pray, other than for yourself the messenger, but the physical means of getting there safely.
Don`t make a big thing out of nothing….see the bigger picture

      God Bless you richly

Not enough space and time to answer any of this nonesense but I beg you to pursue the truth fearlessly. Please dont be like the Pharisees who claimed to know more about God and the scriptures than God Himself. Or the aethist who denies the existence of God (of whom I was one) but ask God to do whatever is possible in your life that you may come to know Him. And to know the meaning of His church. That institution that is Catholic-meaning global, universal. An institution that is classblind, color-blind, country-blind. Amen.

      Hi Francisco

I am intrigued to know whether you are a writer of prose as you expend such a huge amount of time writing a lot of cods wallop!

You need to get a life as one gets terribly bored reading your long soliloquies

      • Francisco Telemaque
        February 24, 2014

Do not worry about the time I expend; since you are so observant; by now you should be aware that there is something special about my life, the way I live, you should ask yourself how does he survive, that cause him to have so much time to spear!

Do not worry about me, there is a saying,” he/she has it made in the shade. Well I am one of those people who has it made in the shade, so do not worry about it.

        Food for thought!

Bro, I will take it upon myself to copy and paste excerpts from recognized & credible sources to help you with your thought process. Here goes!

      THE IMPORTANCE OF THINKING:
Successful problem solving and issue analysis require factual knowledge—that is,
familiarity with the historical context of the problem or issue and an understanding
of the relevant principles and concepts. But factual knowledge is something
already known, whereas in the great majority of cases, solutions are unknown,
brand new, and specifically formulated to fit particular problems or issues. For
this reason, the possession of factual knowledge does not by itself guarantee
success in problem solving. You may, in fact, be the proverbial “walking encyclopedia”
and perform quite dismally. To be a successful problem solver, you will
need both factual knowledge and proficiency in thinking.
To appreciate the importance of thinking proficiency, consider the various
situations in which you are or will be called upon to solve problems, analyze
issues, and make decisions. The choice of a major in college and the decision of
whom to marry, where to live, what religion (if any) to embrace, and what political
party to join are but a few of the most obvious situations. Every day brings
new and difficult challenges: how to deal with difficult people, what to do when
your parents can no longer care for themselves, how to be a good parent, how to
sort through hyperbole and false claims in advertisements, how to manage your
investments wisely, how to determine which political candidate will do the most
good (or least harm) for the country.
Skill in problem solving, issue analysis, and decision making is increasingly
expected of employees. Only a generation or so ago, “scientific management” was
still in vogue. In that system, executives did the thinking and other employees
merely carried out their assigned tasks. Since the advent of “quality management,”
employers have learned to value employees who are willing and able to
contribute ideas for the improvement of the company. In recent years, this perspective
has been reinforced by three developments: the knowledge explosion, the
communications technology revolution, and the rise of the global economy.
Improvements in research capability have dramatically increased the information
base in virtually every field, making it difficult for anyone to master even
a single discipline’s knowledge in its entirety.

Sorry you missed it. Remember Rome’s time is some hours ahead of us. I reside in Toronto. It was on EWTN early afternoon. It may be re-broadcasted either sometime on Sunday or Monday; probably later in the week.

Go to http://www.ewtn.com and look for the schedule for the week. You could also request “Wings” to be sent to you weekly. This is the weekly schedule of programs. I get one. God bless you!
