The family of James Joseph is celebrating today in Antigua because he has been found and he is alive.
Sixty-eight-year-old James who was missing for the past four days was found this morning at a place called Pensioners Beach.
His daughter told Dominica News Online earlier today that he was living off “grass” for the past few days.
“We took him to the hospital because we had concerns that he was dehydrated and weak because of a lack of food,” she said.
The woman said she is “happy that he is alive”.
Joseph who traveled to Antigua and Barbuda in January is originally from New Town.
He lives in All Saints and has dementia.
His family says he would sometimes wander away from home.
My Q is, how did he get to Antigua on his own if he has dementia.
they never said he got there by his self smh the point is he is safe and thats that
Happy he was found alive, please try your best to keep a closer eye on him due to his condition.
All the best
Mango-long, happy that you are back safe.
Is this mango long from newtown
Yes Joe is he I remember his canival band name, SANDEL the greatest.
Toby do you have any idea how dementia affects an individual? Stupid my mom has dementia and you just about irritated me with your unsavory comment.
Habit at home carried abroad for true, eating grass come on.
Amazing display of stupidity on you end !
smh. Be happy that the man was found alive!!! He has dementia for one…which will cause him to loose memory and proper thinking skills. Still SMART of him to survive off of grass…it may be what has kept him alive. In basic training we were taught that in times of desperate situations, you can drink ur own pee for a few seconds. it may be the thin line between life and death.
The man is 68 years old and you guys are referring to him as elderly? I thought he was closed to 90 (based on your description).
70 is the new 50 these days..
That’s really true
