OECS Authority Chairman releases statement on Saint Lucian killed in Dallas

Jean was killed in his apartment by a Dallas Police Officer

Over the last two weeks the people of this region, North America and indeed many other parts of the world have been following the rather sad, perplexing, and horrifying case of Botham Shem Jean, a 26-year-old citizen of Saint Lucia and the OECS.

It is an undeniable fact that Botham Shem Jean was shot and killed while in the sanctity and comfort of his own home on the night of September 06, 2018 by a uniformed officer of the Dallas City Police.

Botham Shem Jean had committed no crime, nor was he contemplating or conspiring to commit any crime. From every indication, Botham Shem Jean was a proud product of our Caribbean Civilization – bright, God-fearing, respectful of others, humane and full of promise.

It is a great loss that we all feel, and for which we sympathise deeply with his family and friends. The people of our region, from the OECS and beyond, want to let it be known to the United States of America and indeed to the entire world that we stand firmly in solidarity with the family and friends of Botham Shem Jean, and with the Government and people of Saint Lucia in their demand for justice.

We wish to make it clear that our small size or perceived ranking in global affairs should not lead to false assumptions or conclusions about the strength of our resolve and determination in the fight for justice.

We are dismayed by the despicable attempts by some to smear the character of Botham Shem Jean, and call upon the authorities in the State of Texas and elsewhere in the United States of America to work to ensure that justice prevails in this matter.

Another psyop for the dumb M.ass.es. Family being interviewed on the one eye devil network cbs. Sister wearing black and white checkerboard top for freemasonry and no emotion from father, sister, brother, nor mother. Anything that get spot lighted on tv/american media its thier creation. The family cashed in for full fooling the dumb people. Do you people really believe if you or one of your family members get shot in america you gonna be on cbs being interviewed? get the hell outta here. You cannot mistake your apartment and if you do, as soon as you enter you know its not yours. Cop lives on 3rd floor (masonic number) but goes to the 4th floor into his appartment. Its garbage, 100% trashhhh. He put a red carpet infront his door to distinguish his appartment from others. BAM!! So she saw it and still went in? So there were no lights in the hall way? Just another divide and conquer racial programming for the dumb ma.ASS.es. The family all actors on the dumb m.ASS.es.

Keep the pressure on. She was fired last night and this was a far shift from pass behavior by US authorities in taking actions so early against law enforcement who did wrong.

“We wish to make it clear that our small size or perceived ranking in global affairs should not lead to false assumptions or conclusions about the strength of our resolve and determination in the fight for justice. ”

All of that is simply hog-wash talk; what sort of resolve can you all muster against the United States; what form of justice can any body in the Caribbean fight to gain from America?

A Jamaican thug goes to Dominica broke the immigration law, he was deported, he went  to Jamaica sue Roosevelt, who claimed he has no alternative but to pay the thug!

    Do something about that!

Crimes such as murder are committed in Dominica everyday; they all go unpunished. At least the woman who shot the man was fired today by the Dallas police department, she is no longer a police officer as of today  September; 24th.

She is charged with manslaughter, and is awaiting trial, she could be facing a life sentence for her crime.

    Talk is cheap!

What exactly has this crime to do with Dominica? This crime as so many others has taken place in a foreign country where you are residing. Did a Dominican commit this crime? Stay where you are, in your ‘ haven’ you deserve to be there. All you do is blah blah blah! No substance. No one cares about
your moronic ramblings. You are just an irrelevance.

You see you that so called piece of garbage; I hope you are not referring to me, because no matter what you write on DNO does not interest me; I have a right to say whatsoever I wish!

If anybody is a moron, it appears you are less then a moron!

The story is in a public forum; I have a right to comment on it: where I reside is none of your concern. You do not even have a name who are you?

As usual a fictitious nobody, a bit of scum of the earth?

Wheresoever I am; am a  happy man! Why don’t mind your business. Everybody knows my name; are you a dog or a pig? I cannot distinguish between to the two! I am quite sure you have never seen me respond to anything have written in the past; so figure out why!

Don’t ask me what  does this crime to do with Dominica, if you were not an idiot you would not ask that!

You that vieux cour that is always on DNO spewing negativity about Dominica and its people. You are just an obnoxious individual. You claim to be ‘highly educated’ however,
your comments on DNO does not reflect this. Rather they show a very low and inferior mindset, prone to self aggrandisement (without any substance) a fantasist and trouble maker! Your name means NOTHING to me, pure irrelevance.

There is rarely justice. There is ‘just us’. These types of incidents are more commonplace than one may ever want to think and the black population seems to also be the ones that suffer most from them. The police make many mistakes, some of them fatal to innocent people. They sometimes have the wrong address and that is when these fatal mistakes are made.. The justice system will only very rarely ever fault the police officer. Decisions are made in a split second and questions are asked afterwards rather than before. This is a sad state of affairs, however, people are under the misinformed idea that the police work for them, they don’t. They work for the system set up of policies made by politicians. The governments do not work for the people. People are only told that they work for them. Only very educated populations can control governments and sadly the world doesn’t have enough people that are up to the task.

Though i applaud the gesture and i totally agree why not start at home. A man was killed by police in a cell in Dominica and is yet to find justice. He was perceived to be guilty and sentenced to death when police killed him without going to court. This was injustice. It did not make US national news. Why dont you use the same voice to fight for justice right in your backyard. Again caricom leaders full of crap. Go see the amount of BS injustice in dominica. Gentleman burnt with hot water. No one saw the court even if the entire island knew who did. Stop yal hypocrisy and act and speak where it matters and stop wasting Caribbean people time.
