Public Works acting manager passes

Labassiere’s passing has been described as ‘shocking’

The acting manager of the Public Works Corporation, Edward Labassiere, has passed.

Reports are that he died after a battle with illness.

His passing was confirmed by Chairman of the corporation, Titus Francis, who described Labassiere’s death as ‘shocking.’

He described Labassiere as a gentle and warm person who was dedicated to his job.

“Now that he is gone, I can only wish his family the best and we have to just take it from there,” Francis told state-owned DBS Radio.

Yes people do die everyday. But for you come under this post with that type of attitude is completely inappropriate when all people are doing is expressing their grievances. How dare you ? I’m pretty sure you were as distraught when your family died as these people are. Please refrain from further writing anything inappropriate or condescending under this post. No one wants to read your negative comments. Especially when you have no full knowledge of the situation at hand.

      Thank you

Is there an antidote for the dreadful disease Leptospirosis at the PMH? If not then why can’t the officials get hold of it? How many must succumb to this horrible disease before action is taken?

The City Council should spread rat poison in order to eliminate the rat infestation in Dominica.

Soooooooo sad to hear of Topex’s untimely death. This death could have been avoided. May he rest in RIP. Condolences to his family.

Leptospirosis can be treated with the proper antibiotics. That being said, many of the applications of antibiotics at PMH are not done property. It can also be effectively treated with IV ozone therapy.

You were a friend, an advisor, a motivator
you will be surely missed. Had I known sooner that you were at PMH I would have been there but I only found out on Monday I tried to see you instantly but was denied entry at ICU. It really hurt me last night thinking of you and picturing you in this refrigerator and all I could do was toss n turn… RIP bro

“Condolences to all who mourn his passing.

PMH should ne charged for negligence and murder.
Are we going to sweep this one under the carpet too? How many of us have to die before something new is done about the national hospital?”

The second paragraph above is important. The nurses are leaving, people are dying, scan is not working, patients getting worst after admission, patients getting bad bad bad hospital infections…..please for the sake of humanity the Minister of Health and his team needs to shake up. One suggestion, link up with our neighbours in the region, and see if we can fly people out for help sooner than its too late. It is reality…something has to be wrong.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ? You have no idea of what the situation entailed and for you to reply with your unnecessary and unwanted commentary is by far inappropriate and unacceptable. People love to comment and speak on what they feel is correct and truthful when in all actuality have no information of facts on the situation at hand. Do not come on this post with your ignorance and pecimisic attitude about this fine gentleman. How about you go take care of yourself first before wondering about someone else’s health cause clearly your mentally ill. Have a good day

Good question  . Ask the minister of health and the ruling Purple Turtle Gang. I have said it before and will say it again; PMH is a place you go to DIE. The darn place is filthy and no one seems to care. Time for serious change
