Sepp Blatter to resign as FIFA president amid corruption scandal

sepp blatterSepp Blatter says he will resign as president of football’s governing body FIFA amid a corruption scandal.

In announcing his exit, the 79-year-old Swiss has called an extraordinary FIFA congress “as soon as possible” to elect a new president.

Blatter was re-elected last week, despite seven top FIFA officials being arrested two days before the vote as part of a US prosecution.

But he said: “My mandate does not appear to be supported by everybody.”

Hello and good afternoon my people. Why so many countries allow America Laws to entrapped their citizens. Do not extradite your citizens to America because they don’t send their citizens to other countries to stand trial when the commit crimes. Please tell me how many Wall Street bankers have stand trial for stealing trillions of dollars from citizens all ever the world. Our football has nothing to do with America this is a scam for them to take over and control our Football.

What about corruption in Dominica? Can the opposition write to the FBI to help us?

    • June 4, 2015

      To AG.

Hello and good afternoon my people. The FBI can’t even tell us how many people are killed by the police in America. For a nation that keep records on birds, fish and so on but yet they don’t know how many of their citizens are killed by Police.
The FBI don’t have jurisdiction in our country to investigate anything.

You called your brothers and sisters of African descent nothing, if you are black? Are you nothing too. That’s the problem with us , slavery did a number on all of us, it is going to take time before we all get it together. Next time before you elect any leaders ask for two terms.

Its just a figure of speech to make a point. The sad thing about us as a society is that we do not accept wrong. Jack Warner is still defending his innocence while others have already pleaded guilty. Power does corrupt absolutely and few men are able to get that throne and maintain their integrity. Its all about money and instant gratification which will ultimately lead to fall, you reap what you sow. Christopher Dudas “Coke” notorious gangster in Jamaica was deeply revered. He helped the poor, fed them sent children to school. But how he obtained his wealth was wrong, he is now rotting in prison. If Adolf Hitler were to have elections in Germany in 1945 he would have won a landslide victory. Even on their last days during trial those accused of killing millions of Jews, said that what they did was not wrong. But as i always say time will tell, the house is like a pack of cards. When once falls all will fall. I hope that these will be facing the music.

Well done Blatter. Corrupt, asinine, intellectually vacuous and sleazy politicians need to take note.

The next domino to fall will be the IOC. Watch this space.

    These organizations are too corrupt.

I just wish that our Caribbean leaders would take a page of Mr. Blatter’s book. I don’t understand how we as a black people love to cling to power like we created it. Typical example of the African countries where leaders become dictators. It really shows that we have not matured as a society, Its sad to say we have regressed to say the least as a mature democracy. Our leaders should just have two terms and give it up anything more will give them the opportunity to “stick their fingers in the cookie jar”. But again most of our ministers were “nothings” before they won therefore they will fill their pockets and fight tooth and nail because after the political careers are over they are, “Nothings”

We, as black people . . . You are bringing down your own, lowering their dignity in your mind anyway as you project. It is not elevating. This is one type of conversation I do not participate in. It is also not one I love to hear and read about.
I do think you should cease stating black this and black that. This is what makes you criticize and be negative, keeps people as you down, and you go nowhere. Try building a confident and encouraging spirit within you.
