Host of “The Heng” radio show on Kairi FM has been fired according to information received by Dominica News Online.
Sources told DNO that Kamala Jno Baptiste-Aaron was relieved of her duties on Wednesday because of a misunderstanding with management.
Officials at Kairi FM are tight-lipped on the matter. On Thursday DNO contacted the radio station but was told that officials were unavailable.
DNO has not been able to get a comment from Jno Baptiste-Aaron herself.
Jno Baptiste-Aaron hosted The Heng every week day from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
With Jno Baptiste’s departure, it is unclear what the management of Kairi FM has in mind for the morning talk show.
DNO is seeking further information on the matter.

Isn’t it the the same KA-MAL-A who spent her years belittling other people, especially those who did not support the DLP cabal? Had I not known better, I would argue, Kamala had never hosted that show for several years. I expected the callers to express love, sympathies, understanding and encouragement. In two hours, all I heard was Linton, Fontaine and Issac are trying to fool Dominicans with a Ponzi scheme. I wondered how Kamala felt this morning if she listened to the show. It is only twenty four hours since news broke of her firing and the DLP supporters have already forgotten her. I hope Philbert is taking note, shame, shame, shame.

You should not have taken that seriously. She was within her position to ask him certain questions to ascertain whose side he was on and to get some information out of him. He may have been surprised at her questions, taken aback and did not know how to respond. This is nothing new with journalists quizzing those whom they interview.

Why is everyone rejoicing at this journalist’s supposed termination. She has claimed that she knows journalism like the back of her hands; as a matter of fact she is an expert and no other journalist in Dominica and maybe the region can be compared to her. She is gonna make it to CNN? Every disappointment is a blessing. I guess in the mean time she will be writing some documentaries on Salisbury, lawsuits, calypso, politics and most importantly Lennox Linton. When she makes her debut at her next job she will launch the documentaries. We are all waiting to hear from her again. I actually enjoyed listening to the comical bias commentries. I was never angered by her critical summaries of the happenings; I quite frankly will miss her.

DNO why do you allow posters to copycat other people handles I’ve asked that many times before. I see a pattern in the person or persons using my handle and when they do. The above post was not posted by me. Except if a DNO staffer uses other people usernames on purpose for mischief. There must a filter DNO you can use to prevent another person from using a handle another person has. Most sites will let you know if a username is taken and ask you to try another. DNO why not yours?

I was not surprised, I predicted that only two weeks ago on DNO. I mentioned that Kamala was roped to tightly in DLP politics and propaganda. I also mentioned the quality of the show had deteriorated under her watch. When you compare the Matt talk show at the same time with Kamala and consider the many advertisements on his show you can clearly see the difference in quality. Whereas many business places committed their advertisements to Matt and Q95, only a limited of businesses would advertise on her show and I believe that was a serious problem . She can talk as much politics as you want, you can give as much support to the party in power as you want, you can be as personal with Mr. Linton as you want, she could allow the senior citizen from Newtown to say as many nasty things as she wants, but the bottom line is the listenership that matters. I understood she had anticipated her firing, ……………………………
