Washington (CNN) — Democrats and Republicans narrowly averted a partial shutdown of the federal government Friday night, agreeing on a budget deal and a short-term funding extension little more than an hour before the clock struck midnight and time ran out.
The new funding extension, which cuts spending by $2 billion, will last through next Friday, April 15.
The Senate immediately passed the extension on a voice vote. The House of Representatives followed suit early Saturday morning.
A senior White House official told CNN that President Barack Obama is expected to sign the short term continuing resolution into law later Saturday.
It was Obama’s responsibility to present the budget as president.Also remember democrats controlled the house,the senate and the presidency (with a large majority) up to November, they could even do so early this yr.before the Republicans officially took their sits in January.It is like DLP with an 18 sits blaming UWP with 3 sits.
It is the rich buddies that invest and create jobs.It is not tax break for them,it’s their own money the dems are taking from them .Government dont create employment it is the private sector.
Dose it make sense, at a time when the country is broke, the Democrats are giving Plan Parenthood $300.000.000 per yr.and part of it is to kill babies in the womb?.
Let them raise their own money to commit this crime.
