Donald Trump is set to be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
The property tycoon won an unexpected victory in November’s election after a controversial campaign.
Hundreds of thousands of supporters and protesters are travelling to Washington DC for the event.
Thousands of police have been deployed and many kilometres of crowd barriers set up as part of a vast security operation.
Addressing supporters on Thursday night at a pre-inaugural concert, Mr Trump pledged to unify America, bring change and make the country great “for all of our people”.
“Great” does not always mean supreme, mighty or above all. There have been many GREAT losers. “Great” on a scale could go either way – Up or down.

I also prayed that God gives him health and strength to also carry out his duties as promised. He deserves the opportunity to do so.

Some people cannot accept that he won the election. Those protesters have a lot of time to waste. What could they achieve by that?
Prior to an election those who are especially religious should pray to God that the one elected will serve the people to the fullest that he/she will do what is best for the nation and nationals.
The one elected may not be our choice of candidate. This occurs worldwide. Once the candidate is elected, we again pray to God that he/she will perform the elected duty efficiently.
Some people do not pray. They are very good at criticizing, demonstrating and causing divisions. Look at them in Washington. Over 200 of them were arrested. What were they there for? To create trouble? As they continue to demonstrate worldwide, there will be more arrests.
Americans worldwide, especially, please pray for the new President that God will help him to perform his duty, pleasing to US nationals. I do not reside in the US. I am.praying for him.

Now this is a man who’s first two marriages ended in divorce because he cheated on his wives and in the Billy Bush tapes he admitted to try to have sex with a married woman. She refused his advances and he took her furniture shopping therefore he cheated on his current wife so don’t expect any thing good from this liar. Many prayers were offered up to God to send America a good – better president. Prayers were offered after the election and after his inauguration. I listened to those prayers on Catholic Rado/TV even as I am reading/commenting on DNO.

A Bishop on Catholic Radio is now talking about Trump saying, “. . . They are not biased. They now have a better chance for religious freedom . .. .” This did not exist under Obama. This was a grave concern for the US Catholic Bishops, the Catholic Church and other US Christians..
Yes! He spoke of getting people in the work force. That would be a good thing. The more non-workers, the less the economy grows. It could remain stagnant or recede.
