Ex-South Africa leader Jacob Zuma to face corruption charges

South Africa’s chief prosecutor has announced he will charge Jacob Zuma, the former president, with corruption related to an arms deal.

Zuma will face 16 charges, including racketeering, fraud and money laundering.

The corruption allegedly occurred during a $2.5bn deal made in the 1990s. Zuma was first charged with corruption in 2005 when his financial adviser was jailed on fraud and corruption charges.

I am calling on the parliamentarians to come together to kick Skerrit out of office. Because the country will judge you all in the same way as we will judge Skerritt.
When good men remain silent bad men flourish. Stand up and denounce this tyrant.
    Zuma now , Skerritt next.

What is wrong with these leaders? Is it a sickness?
They get a load of money in salaries plus many perks and yet they want more. WHY?
For heaven sake leaders, serve your people fairly and honestly and you will have more riches than you can imagine – and a clear conscience, one of the best riches there is.

No sympathy here. These leaders plunder the country’s treasury with all sort of corrupt practices. While they move from rags to riches, the majority of their countrymen live in unbelievable squalor. The Caribbean has many Zumas. Look carefully around the Caribbean . You would find many of the leaders come into government with very little and then accumulate great opulence in a short time. Their salaries can never account for their enormous riches. Corruption severely affects the poor man. Government has to increase taxes to gain extra revenue to compensate for money it loses or overspend because of corrupt practices by government officials. This has a very serious negative effect on the poor man’s budget.
