Hillary Clinton has accepted the Democratic party’s presidential nomination Thursday night in Philadelphia, making history as the first woman to be chosen to run for the highest office in the land by a major party in the United States.
“Today, we’ve reached a milestone in our nation’s march toward a more perfect union: The first time that a major party has nominated a woman for President,” Clinton said. “Standing here as my mother’s daughter’s, and my daughter’s mother, I’m so happy this day has come.”
“Happy for grandmothers and little girls and everyone in between. Happy for boys and men, too, because when any barrier falls in America, for anyone, it clears the way for everyone,” she continued. “When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit.”
Clinton was clearly emotional as she walked on stage, and said: “I’m so happy this day has come.”
Big deal! She is campaigning for the presidency. It was to be expected that she would accept the nomination.
America needs a good shake-up and drastic change. Let us give Donald Trump the opportunity to do so.

Victoria Woodhull was the first woman in US History to be selected by a major party to represent it for the Presidency in 1872. A historical marker celebrating the fact along with her contributions for the Suffrage Movement and equal rights can be found in Ohio in Licking County. Many “major” parties existed over time that no longer exist such as the Whig Party that had a number of Presidents.

Neither Trump nor Clinton know God nor have the spiritual wherewithal to lead the nation.
Do the majority of American voters know how to evaluate a candidate for the presidency? What are they looking for? No person who spurns the laws of God and violates His Word is going to have God on his or her side if the nation finds itself in the worst of times.
Here we have a woman who approves abortion and homosexuality. She is being investigated for an alleged security breach involving the misuse of computers and e-mails. Her husband left the oval office in the midst of major moral scandals.
If Hillary is voted into the White House she will be the president not her husband. But make no mistake about this. Behind closed doors Bill will be having in-put into the affairs of the nation. That is just how life is.

I am a Canadian citizen and cannot vote in America. This does not mean I don’t have an opinion and a right to express it. Whoever becomes America’s next president will have an effect on Canada and much of the world. At this time many Canadians are interested in America’s choice for a president.
